Transport to the airport was included in the room rate.
Rude staff at reception hotel. Can't check in until 4pm. No night stand lights. No hand soap provided in room (wash basin in room and bath down the hall) room had animal odors.
The facilities and cleanliness were very good.
The ranch is quite far away from the main hotel and feels very remote. The wifi is quite bad.
Wifi washroom room overall appearance plenty of clean towels cable TV Regent Reception was efficient nice farm view from window
on arrival - the need to go through Regent hotel waited for more then 30 minutes for pickup by shuttle service no facilities to make yourself a cup of coffee/tea in the room
Room was clean
Staff not so friendly
Room was clean, and bathroom was clean.
When booked on line it was value for money, the message I received about picking up the key for Joe's polo ranch was at another hotel called the Reget. We assumed from the txt message we received confirming out accomodation for the ranch accomodation would be next door. We were quite shocked to find it was a further six kilometres away. We were also shocked to find out that it was a shared bathroom and toilet by four other guests.
Staff was great and in addition one of their members was Slovak so that made my conversation easier. It was cheap, clean and I did not need to bring my own shampoo, towels etc. TV/wi-fi were provided and so was free parking just outside the building. Restaurant/pub was some 3 minutes of walk.
Wi-fi signal in my bedroom was a little bit weaker than I would like. It was outside of the Munich XXL zone for local mass transportation so either was needed more expensive ticket or to drive a small distance nearer to city centre. And of course the accomodation has not its own reception which is 6 km away from it.
Good for the traveller on a budget, who wants a night's sleep close to Munich airport yet out in the country. I like the church bells! The rooms are generous.
It was a bit of a surprise that it was 6 km away from it's parent hotel, yet someone drove to show us the way there. There was no working lamp in one of the bedrooms, so difficult for my elderly mother, who needs to get up in the night.
The room was spacious and clean.
The town has a communal (church?)bell that rings every 15 minutes--one time at the first quarter of the hour, two times at the second quarter, three times at the third quarter, and 12 times at midnight. I was unable to get a good sleep as a result. This was a big problem for me, as i had to catch an early morning flight. Also, the room was not as cheap as it advertised, because I had to pay 16 euros extra for the round-trip shuttle service. The check-in time was strictly 4:00 PM, although I arrived in the Regent Hotel before noon. Of course, this policy is listed on the contract, so is the fact that Jo's Polo Ranch is 6 kilometers away from Regent Hotel. After so much hassle, I wish I had stayed in some other hotel in the town of Habergmoos.
Location near airport and trasportation from/to the airport excellent service. Shared toilets were clean and there were clean towels.
We thought that the transportation was free for all 4 persons but 2 of us had to pay for it. Hotel was in the in the middle of nowhere, only two restaurants nearby.
We had a room "sleep, park & fly" and everything was perfect - the check in is at Regent´s hotel but the staff will drive with you to the ranch. The shuttle is available 24h a day. We parked our car at the ranch for 1 week and were picked up on call at the airport again.
As someone who's been working with people trying to balance their budget, I would guess you are not looking at reviews for Joe's Polo Ranch because you are rolling in cash day in day out. Lol. If you are like me, you got your airfare tickets for a good price, but with the catch of having a long, overnight connection time in Munich. You are doing well enough that you do not want to punish yourself spending the night on a hard bench in the J. Strauss terminal, but you don't want to waste money, so... Voila, good ole' Joe's Polo Ranch to the rescue! Long story short, the only good thing about this place is the price. If you expect anything else good out of this place, check with your doctor--he may be keeping you on the wrong medication. Lol.
The worst thing for me is the fact that they are reeling people in with the promise of free Wi-Fi. It may even work well if you pick the more expensive rooms they offer. But if you do that, what is the point of staying at Joe's, huh? You are there to save money, aren't you? So, if you go for their lowest price room (the only reason I was even looking at Joe's), the internet connection sucks to the point that it's just pie in the sky. And I am really upset this time, because it is the third time in a row when their connection turns out to be nothing more than hot air. The first time, I thought it was just my usual bad luck. But three times in a row? Come on! The other thing is that Joe's is not really a well defined place in Hallbergmoos you can put your finger on while looking at a map of the area. It's is just a business entity in fact. They have the higher price Regentpark hotel, and as they started making more and more money, they expanded wherever they found room, so they can make even more money. Last time I used their services as "Joe's", they took me with a minibus to a place out in the sticks, about 20 minutes of driving away from Regent. The driver dumped me there and left. There was absolutely no staff there to cater to whatever needs you might unexpectedly have. The only time you see someone from their staff is in the morning when another (or the same driver) shows up to schlep you back to the airport. This time around, they took me on a golf cart that was dripping wet due to the rain, to a condominium-type place just 2 blocks from Regentpark. Same deal: you are being dumped there, and if something is not they way you want it, you either have to call their Regentpark staff (not sure of how much help that would be, or just suck it in till the morrow, when the driver collects you at the appointed time and dumps you at the airport.
It's really close to the Airport ( About 15-20 minutes Max) The Restaurant offers really good Thai Pasta with Shrimps, They also have good Dark Beer T.V has more than 40 Channels to View For extra €10, You can Enjoy a Really Nice Breakfast ;)
WI-FI Signal was not too strong, & internet was a Bit Slow when Browsing Rooms are Tidy, But would be much better if they were more sound Proof Shuttle is not Included ( Avaible for Extra
The price, farm admosfere
cost for the airport shuttle
Great atmosphere, clean.
Not very clear on Booking.com that check-in is at a different hotel, which you then need to get a shuttle to. This takes up extra time and on Sundays, there is only one non-hotel restaurant open. Although I knew, note that bathrooms are shared.
What a treasure at the foot of Munich International airport to fly the next morning! We walked to a nice place to eat that evening and will definitely use them again! We were coming in from the train and went to the airport info desk and they came for us!
Strange out of the way place near the airport. Slightly odd as check in is 5km from the ranch but all else excellent
After a long day of fyling I arrived at the Regent Hotel where you must check in at appr. 2 pm and was greeted by 2 very flustered and rude recetionist . The first ask me what I wanted I said I had a booking for Joes Polo Ranch, without addressing me she turns to her co-worker and says UNBELEIVABLE!!! She no longer speaks to me but her co worker tells me check in is at 4 pm I said would it be possible to check in early she says *check in is at 4 pm it is on your reservation*! I came back at 4 pm and then had to wait 20 minutes for someone to drive me to the Ranch which was pointless really as I had stayed there before and so has my husband ! I will not be staying here again due to the service from the Regent Hotel staff I would rather pay a little extra to be treated as a paying customer and not some intruder!!!
Shuttle worked fine
Would have to be informed where Joe's Polo ranch really is located ... it's 6km from the checkin-Hotel to the ranch :-)
The place stunk of cigarette smoke from people smoking in the halls. I was only there to be close to the airport and for the rest of the trip I had to wear clothes that stunk of smoke. Could not sleep because you could every single sound and couldnt breath because of the smoke and it was not cheap for what u got
Very spacious and clean room. Close to the airport.
It's all about the staff. They barely speak english. We stayed there just for one night, then we had next flight, so we paid for the transfer to the airport which was offered by the hotel. Unfortunately, at the appointed hour no one arrived. When we called them, they just told us that they can offer us next bus 30 minutes later (45 minutes late), no explanation, no excuses, no apologies.
The relaxing environment and atmosphere.
There´s no hair dryer :-/
Cleanliness, proximity to the aiport, rural setting
Transportation to/from the airport by shuttle only
Nice big room with shared bath. Free internet. Good pickup service.
It is a bit complicated to get there since you first need to visit another hotel to pickup the key. However, for 8 euro, you can call the hotel and they drive you all the way. Worked excellent for me, but expect to use slightly more time on arrival, and paying 8 euro each way.
Everything is horrible. Booking.com mentioned that the shuttle from airport is included, but it is not! You have to pay for the hotel shuttle. The rooms are very small and very far from the reception, actually the are located four street away. Shared path room. Very far from Munich. Better to remove the hotel from Booking list.
