It is a great place to leave a car and stay a night before you fly from Munich airport. It is clean and feels like home.
Only thing is that reception is on other location, but if you are with the car that should not be a problem. Even shared bathroom was ok.
Slept here twice so far, but not at the actual Polo Ranch: we were given instead a room at the Regent Apartments, near Hotel Regent (the place where you check-in).
the bathroom is shared, the WiFi signal was pretty weak
- Food at the local restaurant: It was really good especially the fish from local ponds (at least it was stated so) it that was amazing. I think if I ever will be nearby that place I would visit that restaurant just for that fish. Also restaurant personal helped me with the problem of missing glass in the room (see cons) - I like that hotel has it's pickup from airport. Well it costs, but it is. There was some delays of pickup because of weather and local people should know that Terminal 1 has two B exists :) Choose C exit instead, it is one and it is 20m from B :) - Quite good soundproof from outside (not that good from inside :))
Few things: - lets call it light problem: main light was not working, light at the table also. - Wi-Fi let say I cannot say that it was working: my room was in basement and internet on my phone was working only if I raise it above my head in the one corner of the room (or go outside of the room) - There was a drinking water in the room, but there was no glass, thanks to restaurant personal with that problem
Check in staff were friendly and helpful
Accomodation is 6km from the hotel/anywhere you can get a drink or food on a genuine polo ranch Wifi range means you have to sit in a communal area on the ground floor (I was in the attic) While place smells of horses and is pretty cold
the price is relatively cheap and the ranch is relatively near the airport. The charge of delivery is cheap.
the reception is open only before 11 pm. The ranch is somewhere hard to get by yourself. The bathroom is bad and should be shared with others. No elevator, no breakfast, the wifi is weak.
I admit it, it's their price attracted me, but... see cons below:
Their address is NOT correct!! They said check in would be at a different hotel, but they didn't say Joes Polo Ranch is at another place where is 6km away from reception! It's in the middle of nowhere, and if you need a transportation, it would be 8Euro extra. Why didn't they tell the truth in the first place??
I rented a car at Munich International Airport and stayed the night before heading north. The building is in fact on a polo ground and very quiet. No bathroom in room but the main bathroom was well kept and clean. Could not beat the price.
The polo grounds are about 5k away from where you check in. A bit of a hike but easily followed a staff member to get to the ranch.

staff were helpful rooms were clean
check in was a little inconvenient
Have been transiting in Munich for years and only just found this place! It's awesome! Right next to airport, way quieter than the others and the rooms are phenomenal - little apartments like staying in a manor. Staff were lovely. Wifi excellent.
No tea or coffee making facility. Good restaurant 5 to 10 mins walk but had to find it myself. There should info. regarding where to go.
It was cheap and the bed was very comfortable. The shuttle to the airport was prompt.
You have to check on at another location at 1600, then take a bus to actual Ranch in the middle of nowhere. The description online says that there are many shops nearby, but that simply isn't true. The ranch has nothing around, so I hope you brought your own food and drinks. The wifi doesn't extend past the first floor and was difficult to connect to.
Transport to the airport was included in the room rate.
Rude staff at reception hotel. Can't check in until 4pm. No night stand lights. No hand soap provided in room (wash basin in room and bath down the hall) room had animal odors.
The facilities and cleanliness were very good.
The ranch is quite far away from the main hotel and feels very remote. The wifi is quite bad.
The proximity to the airport, the shuttle and the price are hands down the best features. If this is what you are looking for then this is your place. The owners were definitely thinking of their clients' needs when setting up. Nice large room, shared bath right next door. Clean, no noise, no smoke. There was a mix-up with the shuttle time and the driver came up personally to ensure that I had a ride to the airport. Fare for shuttle is paid with hotel bill, so no need to have Euros upon arrival. Great service!
Wifi washroom room overall appearance plenty of clean towels cable TV Regent Reception was efficient nice farm view from window
on arrival - the need to go through Regent hotel waited for more then 30 minutes for pickup by shuttle service no facilities to make yourself a cup of coffee/tea in the room
Room was clean
Staff not so friendly
Room was clean, and bathroom was clean.
When booked on line it was value for money, the message I received about picking up the key for Joe's polo ranch was at another hotel called the Reget. We assumed from the txt message we received confirming out accomodation for the ranch accomodation would be next door. We were quite shocked to find it was a further six kilometres away. We were also shocked to find out that it was a shared bathroom and toilet by four other guests.
Staff was great and in addition one of their members was Slovak so that made my conversation easier. It was cheap, clean and I did not need to bring my own shampoo, towels etc. TV/wi-fi were provided and so was free parking just outside the building. Restaurant/pub was some 3 minutes of walk.
Wi-fi signal in my bedroom was a little bit weaker than I would like. It was outside of the Munich XXL zone for local mass transportation so either was needed more expensive ticket or to drive a small distance nearer to city centre. And of course the accomodation has not its own reception which is 6 km away from it.
Good for the traveller on a budget, who wants a night's sleep close to Munich airport yet out in the country. I like the church bells! The rooms are generous.
It was a bit of a surprise that it was 6 km away from it's parent hotel, yet someone drove to show us the way there. There was no working lamp in one of the bedrooms, so difficult for my elderly mother, who needs to get up in the night.
The room was spacious and clean.
The town has a communal (church?)bell that rings every 15 minutes--one time at the first quarter of the hour, two times at the second quarter, three times at the third quarter, and 12 times at midnight. I was unable to get a good sleep as a result. This was a big problem for me, as i had to catch an early morning flight. Also, the room was not as cheap as it advertised, because I had to pay 16 euros extra for the round-trip shuttle service. The check-in time was strictly 4:00 PM, although I arrived in the Regent Hotel before noon. Of course, this policy is listed on the contract, so is the fact that Jo's Polo Ranch is 6 kilometers away from Regent Hotel. After so much hassle, I wish I had stayed in some other hotel in the town of Habergmoos.
Location near airport and trasportation from/to the airport excellent service. Shared toilets were clean and there were clean towels.
We thought that the transportation was free for all 4 persons but 2 of us had to pay for it. Hotel was in the in the middle of nowhere, only two restaurants nearby.
We had a room "sleep, park & fly" and everything was perfect - the check in is at Regent´s hotel but the staff will drive with you to the ranch. The shuttle is available 24h a day. We parked our car at the ranch for 1 week and were picked up on call at the airport again.
As someone who's been working with people trying to balance their budget, I would guess you are not looking at reviews for Joe's Polo Ranch because you are rolling in cash day in day out. Lol. If you are like me, you got your airfare tickets for a good price, but with the catch of having a long, overnight connection time in Munich. You are doing well enough that you do not want to punish yourself spending the night on a hard bench in the J. Strauss terminal, but you don't want to waste money, so... Voila, good ole' Joe's Polo Ranch to the rescue! Long story short, the only good thing about this place is the price. If you expect anything else good out of this place, check with your doctor--he may be keeping you on the wrong medication. Lol.
The worst thing for me is the fact that they are reeling people in with the promise of free Wi-Fi. It may even work well if you pick the more expensive rooms they offer. But if you do that, what is the point of staying at Joe's, huh? You are there to save money, aren't you? So, if you go for their lowest price room (the only reason I was even looking at Joe's), the internet connection sucks to the point that it's just pie in the sky. And I am really upset this time, because it is the third time in a row when their connection turns out to be nothing more than hot air. The first time, I thought it was just my usual bad luck. But three times in a row? Come on! The other thing is that Joe's is not really a well defined place in Hallbergmoos you can put your finger on while looking at a map of the area. It's is just a business entity in fact. They have the higher price Regentpark hotel, and as they started making more and more money, they expanded wherever they found room, so they can make even more money. Last time I used their services as "Joe's", they took me with a minibus to a place out in the sticks, about 20 minutes of driving away from Regent. The driver dumped me there and left. There was absolutely no staff there to cater to whatever needs you might unexpectedly have. The only time you see someone from their staff is in the morning when another (or the same driver) shows up to schlep you back to the airport. This time around, they took me on a golf cart that was dripping wet due to the rain, to a condominium-type place just 2 blocks from Regentpark. Same deal: you are being dumped there, and if something is not they way you want it, you either have to call their Regentpark staff (not sure of how much help that would be, or just suck it in till the morrow, when the driver collects you at the appointed time and dumps you at the airport.
