Food was excellent Only problem was I could not access the internet using my Apple iPhone or IPad. My laptop worked fine. I suspect the username/password site uses flash which does not work on these Apple devices.

Nice location in very pleasant, small German town of Julich. Friendly and helpful staff, plenty of parking right next to hotel, very easy access by road. Comfortable beds, wide opening window (particularly useful as 23 - 24 degrees in the evenings when I stayed), quiet outlook. Although I didn't sample it, by reputation of a couple of locals I met, a decent restaurant. All staff I encountered were very friendly, very helpful and tried their best with my apalling German. Everyone I met at the hotel spoke at least a little English, some very well, no language problem apart from me! Julich a pleasant town ot spend a couple of evenings in, visit the castle/fort if you get a chance. Nothing I didn't like, particularly for the price, but the room furniture and fittings were past their best, not seen an 'old style' CRT protable TV for a while. Breakfast was a little sparse, usual collection of meats, bread & cereal with scrambled egg, streaky bacon and sausages, yoghurt & fruit. No bar but hotel happy to sort softs drinks, beer, coffee, etc as required. Above not dislikes just be aware if you're looking for 4 star fittings and faciliites then this is not the hotel for you, however I will definitely stay in Kaiserhof when next in the region.

Het hotel voldeed over het geheel genomen aan onze verwachtingen. We zochten een simpel hotel met een goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Kamers op derde etage zijn erg warm als de zon erop staat cq heeft gestaan.

Het contact met het "" baliepersoneel " Goed ontbijt . Schone kamer. Het ligt te dicht bij een een vrij drukke weg. Dat geeft wat slaapproblemen.

Er was een lift. Summiere menukaart tegen veel te hoge prijzen. De recent verbouwde kamer was nog steeds oubollig. Weing aansprekend ontbijt, maar wel verse broodjes.

Wir sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit empfangen worden. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Personal freundlich, das Essen im Restaurant sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Am Frühstück könnt noch etwas gearbeitet werden.

The hotel staff are very pleasant although it was changing ownership whilst we stayed there so do not know what it will be like in future. Very convenient for the centre of Julich with easy parking outside the hotel. Very nice restaurant with excellent food.

After reading the reviews, I was a bit hesitant to book here. However, the hotel is under new ownership that is very friendly. They plan on renovating soon, which should update some of the fixtures. The rooms are simple but clean and had free wireless internet, which was great.

The location is good, especially for those who visit FZJ. And it is quiet in the night. The breakfast is also a good one. The desk is a little bit small after a screen is putted on it for TV.
