Help was very accommodating
mechanical loud noise after flushing the toilet. . Hotel needs to be freshened up. Breakfast room: not very pleasant. too much banging with the dishes by the help.
The young guy at the front desk was very kind and helpful
The breakfast is very adequate and the place is clean and comfortable. It has an old-school charm.
The old-school charm is taken a bit far: carpets are threadbare, the WiFi system of tickets is irritating, and the staff are grumpy, especially at breakfast! Sleep quality was poor because I could hear the other guests coming and gong at all hours.
The size of the room:the room was very spacious. The surrounding of the hotel.
The bathroom was very small. Tiles were broken. The shower was tiny. There was a water pump in the bathroom which made loud noises any time that water was running. I had asked for a quiet room, but my room faced a noisy street. The breakfast was very basic and poor. There were no hairdryer. There was no coffee or tea making facilities and no fridge.
Considering the city location it was fairly good value. Room was spacious. Many shops and eating outlets close by. Berlin is well worth a visit.
Staff in the breakfast room looked very depressed and unsociable. The breakfast room was very warm and stuffy even in September.
Very scruffy and poor breakfasts
Staff was very helpful Great location at good price Spacious rooms
Wornout furniture, creaking floors and very old elevator. Poor interior lighting at night. Small selection at breakfast.
- Large clean room, Clean bathroom and toilet. - The breakfast was fine. No vegetables though except cherry tomatoes. - Good location near the bus stop at Olivaer Platz makes it very easy to move around town. We would usually take the bus to the zoo and from there you have a U Bahn & S Bahn station.
- We had a room facing a construction site which started drilling at 07:00 on weekdays. This wasn't much of a hassle because we woke up early most days. But this can definitely be an annoyance. - Wifi reception poor in our room. If you really need a good signal you can sit on the couch in the lobby. We didn't come to Berlin to be online 24/7 so this didn't bother us much. - Room smelled a bit. My wife thinks it was cigarette smell, I thought it was just the smell of "old". - The building is pretty worn down and everything creaks when you walk. Can be charming to some I guess. This didn't bother me much. - If you're looking for clubs or to eat at hip restaurants at night, I would look to sleep at the Prenzlauer Berg area. West Berlin is definitely not the center of nightlife anymore. Though the excellent public transport really makes everything feel close.
Had a two night weekend trip to Berlin and stayed for the first time at Hotel Kima. I immediately loved the house with its Jugendstil decor, the high ceilings, the old elevator, the entire ambience. The room was comfortable and clean. Reception staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Obviously the location close to Kurfürstendamm is ideal for such a short trip to Berlin. All in all the "values for money" is the striking point here. Can only recommend.
Friendly and helpful Front-Desk man; Decent breakfast; Quiet location of my room.
Mattress on bed was too thin; felt slats underneath; Shower-head would not stay in useable position - had to be held in place with one hand.
God location, much friendly staff, +++++++++++++ free parking free wifi Great value !!!
The Hotel are simple but you still you get very much for what you pay
Very nice building with super high ceilings and antique charm. Love the lift too! Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
A bit far from the city centre. The access to the wifi. The works on a nearby building, that started soon in the morning.
Location at the public facility, building with historic atmosphere, price quality ratio, room clean at cool in the summer, parking facilities, breukvastheid
You can expect a lot of people during rushhours for the breakfast but the lades serve you very Well.
Location staff price breakfast
old rooms, old furniture, old carpet but everything was clean.
Entrance, the elevator, the room with the red carpet and the cracking floor
The location is absolutely great on Ku'Damm
1) The horrible smell in the room because of the bathroom; 2) Low comfort, old furniture, traces of usage everywhere; 3) Unfriendly personnel and poor breakfast (definitely not according german standards).
The hotel has a very good staff!
The hotel is in a convenient location, parking is nearby and free after 17:00. The room itself was spacious and comfortable.
Wifi was non existent in room 6 on the 4th floor. Even outside the breakfast reception area on the 4th floor Wifi reception was poor. Wifi did however work in the 2nd floor reception area. The entrance way is quite dark and general facilities are in need of a face-lift.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Very conveniently located in Berlin.
*smelly pillow *no "Do Not Disturb" sign *poor sound insulation *weak wi-fi signal *bad TV signal quality
This is the third time I stayed at this hotel and have recommended it to numerous other friends. Great value for the money, location and always friendly helpful staff. Will be back! Gisela from Canada
Great location, informative, friendly staff
Perfect location.Very friendly and efficient staff.
This was my fourth visit to Kima. I return for lots is reasons, value for money, location, friendly staff. Such a central location. Will be back in September.
The best hotel we've visited so far on his trip. The staff are fabulous and sooooooo helpful too. Door to door service for tours and a yummy breakfast too. I'll be recommending this one to my family and friends.
