Score from 636 reviews Very good
Everything was wonderful! Good parking, a restaurant open till late at night, you can eat delicious, very good breakfast. Rooms large and clean, beautiful. Situated near public transport stops.
Every thing was of a high standard, breakfast had a wide and varied selection, and was included. Rooms had blackout shutters, great for reducing notice and light, for a pleasant sleep in.
Room was a maze and long walk from check in, but luggage trolleys are provided, and there are lifts.
new hotel. large parking lot. shopping & restaurants within parking lot and walking distance. public transportation available in front of hotel.
outskirts of Dresden.
Great breakfast with champagne, rich choice of cheeses, fruit and juices. Good connection to the city centre by tram. Tram stop only few meters away from the entrance and trams pass by every 10-20 min depending on the time of the day. Easy to reach from airport, for just 2,20 euro per person. At check out we were presented 2 bottles of mineral water for the way.
Restaurant is okay, but nothing special, a bit expensive and portions are not very big (compared to German standard). No wifi in the rooms, but wired internet, so it was not a problem as we had laptop with us.
Perfect hotel room good beds Nice restaurant in the hotel good connection to the city
Easy access off road! Tram literally out front to go into city. Nice bakery adjacent to hotel.
A bit pricey for outside the city.
Nice restaurant, good food. Free safe parking. Tram stop right outside the hotel for comfortable 30 minute trip to city centre.
We stayed in Hotel Kim for two nights so that we could spend a day exploring Dresden. Part of the reason we chose this hotel is that it is only a couple of minutes from the nearby autobahn that we were travelling along and there is ample free parking. We had a room on the first floor at the rear of the hotel that is on a corner, so the room was not a regular shape, but this made the room more interesting. It was a large room, well fitted with furniture and it had a small table and chairs and also a fridge. The window was very large and was on the corner, so there were excellent views with the hotel being high on a plateau and you could see Dresden in the distance. Our room and all the hotel we saw was very clean and tidy with nothing amiss. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The hotel sells tram tickets and the receptionist explained how to use the tickets and where to get off in town. It's about 30 minutes ride and 8.50 Euro bought us a ticket for two for the day. We enjoyed the tram ride and it gave us a chance to at the city as we travelled to the centre.
The only disappointments in our room were that the wi-fi strength was very weak and use was therefore very limited and the bottles of water in the room were 2 Euros each. They were much cheaper in a shop next door and we'd previously stayed in three hotels in Poland which all had complimentary bottles of water. The breakfast was OK, but there wasn't a big choice for a 4 star hotel. The only hot food on offer was egg and the fresh bread you can cut with a knife had all gone when we arrived, though we weren't late and many people were coming in after us. The breakfast room is too small and there were not enough tables to seat everyone at busy times. On day two, we saw another English couple unable to find a free table and we invited them to join us on our table. There was a shortage of staff and nothing was cleared from our table as we ate our meals.
The tram system was excellent, we bought a family ticket costing 8.50 euros per day and you could use all trams buses until 4a.m. It took approx 30 mins to get to centre of old town and ran every 10 minutes. Breakfast was excellent a nice selection.
Hotel was a little noisy from early morning traffic. Also wifi access was not available in our room, had to go to first floor and then it was free. Not easy when you wished to contact people via face time!
Easy to find off the motorway, the people and facility is excellent.
The location is out of town but on a tram line The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable Bathroom we'll appointed with a really good shower. Breakfast is good but very busy.
Breakfast room overcrowded.
Staff friendliness and helpfulness Hotel suite Free parking Easy access to public transportation (tram) Breakfast choice and access Local stores
Lack of WiFi in the rooms
Great spacious room with air conditioning, breakfast buffet. Tram #7 right infront of the hotel.
No wi-fi in room
bright room, clean, delicious breakfast.
Far away from the city WiFi not available in most of the rooms WiFi in the reception area is very bad
The prices of the inner city hotels skyrocketed when I visited Dresden. I reluctantly settled for Kim Hotel not expecting much. Was I wrong! Nice room, very good and cheap breakfast. And a lot of people sitting outside drinking at the bar till late at night which gave the suburban office complex even some charm. Locals also visited the bar, sitting outside under the trees. Easy to reach by car. Trams and busses arrived till late in the evening but were not to loud so you can sleep. Autobahn very close by but as there is a hill inbetween no problem with noise.
I liked it all. Nice and helpfull people! Good food! Nice area. Clean hotel. Worth every penny.
Very close to motorway . staff very helpful.
Great location and price with the Tram No 7 and bus stops right outside the front door. It looks like a typical 'hotel on a shopping complex' until you get inside and find warm welcoming staff, well designed rooms and facilities. Highly recommend it for the Dresden area and Leipzig is only a 40 min drive away! Good restaurant, undercover parking and only 2 minutes from the autobahn.
looked a little like a chain shopping complex hotel but far surpasses any of those I've stayed at elsewhere.
Very well managed hotel, staff extremely helpful, free open/covered parking, superb breakfast buffet, excellent size rooms with individual a/c & generous size en-suite, great location in a quiet suburb, tram stop right outside front door with 25 mins service direct to city centre. Very easy to find off the nearby Autobahn & main road link. Faultless ~~ a really good hotel. Very puzzled by other reviewers negative comments about no nearby shops & the distant location ~~ errr ? The great attraction of the Kim Hotel is it's quiet out of town location and the tram service. Why would anyone want to drive into central Dresden when the public transport is so good. Can only assume that they didn't have a clue where the hotel actually was and didn't check the location when booking. This is not the hotel's fault and should not be criticized.
Nothing to dislike.
Breakfast. Satisfied with the tasted and fresh food.
The location was too far from Dresden
Great family room with a lot of space for a family of 5. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. We knew that the hotel is quite far away from the city centre. But the local train stops directly in front of the hotel and takes you within 20 - 30 minutes to the centre or all the way to the Elbe. Free parking in the shade of the parking house was very much appreciated during our stay (above 30 degrees C and sunshine all day).
Very nice breakfast! Good location of bypassing!
