This 16th-century hotel offers free parking and a DVD player in all rooms. It is located in Weiden's historic center, a 5-minute walk from the bus station. The rooms at the 3-star Klassik Hotel am Tor all include a minibar and flat-screen TV with satellite channels. A free internet terminal is located in the bistro. Drinks are served all day in the Klassik's bistro. In the summer, guests can sit on the terrace overlooking the historic marketplace. Guests can enjoy free use of the sauna. A solarium is available for an extra charge. Many restaurants, cafes and shops are just outside the Klassik Hotel in the pedestrian area. The location is great for exploring Weiden. The main square is right behind the hotel. The hotel is actually part of the old city wall. There are several restaurants and shops in the square. If you like gelato there is a great shop pin the old church right in the middle of the square. The staff was very helpful. The rom was spacious, clean, and nicely arranged.

The hotel was welcoming and understated. It was traditional, clean, quiet and comfortable with a underlying core value of discreet efficiency. The historic down was on your doorstep with everything within walking distance. Once your car was parked outside it could remain there until it was time to leave.

My room was amazing - part of the original city wall built in 1340! On two levels so not so good if you didn't like to climb stairs to get to the bedroom. Great value for money and also possible to park.

Loved the uniqueness of this hotel . . . its history, its location right next to the ancient wall 'tower', its story. Really loved our room . . . looked right out onto the market square below us . . . the room was very clean and so cute with its ancient exposed wood beams, etc. This is definitely a super place to stay . . . should be 4 or more stars in rating. By the way, the hotel personnel were very gracious and helpful also. Really appreciated the free parking of our car in the rear of the hotel . . . small area, but ok.

Loved the atmosphere and location of this hotel!! The hotel staff made us feel welcome and were always readily available to anwer our questions. Weiden is a beautful town and offers shopping, dining and outdoor activities.

Great location just few steps from the pedestrian street. Friendly staff and free parking. Suite is nice and roomy. Town itself is one of the most beautiful towns in Germany. Air-con is missing, but that´s the only minus.

Convenient location on pedestrian zone. Parking is available, although it is very limited, so you may need to park in another parking area. Parking is limited. Extremely hard beds and noisy. Generally overpriced...paying for the convenience of the location on the pedestrian zone vs. amenities.

The staff at the Klassic are always overwhelmingly helpful. When a member of our group became ill, they assisted in all aspects of obtaining care for him and were constantly checking on his progress. We love everything about this hotel - the staff; the quaint and unique rooms; the fine Bistro where afterhours beer, wine or coffee is available; the breakfast buffet; and the wonderful town of Weiden.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was dog-friendly, and I experienced no problems bringing my dog with me, although I was on a business trip. I was upgraded to a higher class of room upon arrival, which was a very pleasant surprise. The location is the best there is in Weiden, right on the main market square with plenty of restaurants. For military personnel, it is a 30 minute drive to the Grafenwoehr Training Facility. The breakfast was not very robust, but the price was extremely reasonable- in the area of 5 Euro, where I have seen comparable spreads cost upwards of 20.

Kleines, feines Stadthotel mit der Besonderheit, im Stadttor und in die Stadtmauer integriert zu sein. Schönes, absolut zentrales Haus mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern und einem außergewöhnlichen Ambiente. Wohltuend anders als die typischen Stadthotel-Ketten.
