Under the guidance of chef Wolfgang Klein, we offer cuisine ranging from the light to the hearty. We use predominantly local produce and fish from our own ponds.

We are also famous for our delicious homemade cakes and gateaux.

Our own water supply, which complies with legal standards and is free from additives, allows us to offer guests coffee of the highest quality.

Our spacious, comfortably furnished guest rooms and suites are individually decorated and bear the names of local flowers and herbs, such as "Kornblume" (cornflower) and "Grasnelke" (Armeria).

Area information

During bad whether, why not take a peak behind the scenes and in the tanks of the three large breweries nearby? Alternatively, you may wish to visit the Falke outlet store and pick up a new pair of hiking socks.

The iron ore mine, the numerous wrought iron workshops and the newly constructed Sauerland leisure pool are also popular attractions.

During good weather you can discover Schmallenberg's beautiful hiking area via attractive paths, or can enjoy the diverse programme of events on offer at the open-air theatres in Elspe and Hallenberg.

Travel information

Arriving from Dortmund:

Take the A44 and change to the A46 towards Arnsberg. Leave the motorway at the exit Meschede-Enste. At the end of the exit, turn right. At the first roundabout take the first exit, and then at the second roundabout take the second exit towards Meschede. From Meschede head towards Winterberg-Westernbödefeld. From Westernbödefeld, Bad Fredeburg is signposted. Approx. 3km before Bad Fredeburg you find our hotel on the left-hand side.

Arriving from Olpe:

Take the A45 to the exit Olpe. Continue on the B55 in the direction of Lennestadt. In Lennestadt take the B236 towards Schmallenberg. From Schmallenberg head towards Bad Fredeburg (signposted). Once in Bad Fredeburg, enter the town and keep straight ahead until you reach a curved road with right of way. Follow this road out of town and head towards Westernbödefeld. After approx. 3km you find the hotel on the right-hand side.
