Hotel Kolumbus  

Good value for money. Very well connected to Berlin city center by S- Bahn. Possibility to buy the "berlin welcome card" and tourist info directly at the Hotel.

A small shared corridor between two different rooms separates the bedroom from the bathroom.

The hotel is a far city located hotel with hundreds of rooms. The worst thing is it Internet Access. It uses an Internet service provider named DaPhix Hotspot which is the worst Internet service I have ever seen. I paid 25 Euros for 3 different voucher, but could NOT get connected easily even for 1 hour. Their authentication server was almost always down or hanged, no body was inside the company to even restart the system!

The buffet was good but with no changes. The rooms were clean but extra shower gel for the other days was not provided. It was quiet although there were too many visitors.

This hotel is only for young groups, athletes etc. and the reception service was held by young people who were practising.

The personel is very friendly. The breakfast was more then plenty with boiled eggs, breakfast cereal, yoghurt, different kinds of bread, fresh fruit, and over 10 kinds of tea. Rooms were small but clean. In the surrounding streets there's plenty of space to park your car.

The beds were small. Being 1m80cm I could fit but I think when you are bigger you might end up with your feet sticking out of the bed. The pillows are German meaning very fluffy! Your head instantly hits the matras. They are that soft. Luckily I read other reviews and brought my own pillow with me. Thank God I did! I stayed for 6 nights and only got 2 small bars of soap at the first day. Ran out of shampoo on the third day and didn't get a new one. (You'll think they had noticed when I left the wrapping of the soap on the sink but unfortunately they trew away the wrapping but didn't replace it). The distance to Alexanderplatz is roughly 30 min by tram. Brandenburger Tor is about 45 - 60 minutes.

The staff is friendly and the rooms werwe decent sized and always clean. It is not central so you'd need a reasonable amount of traveling to do to get to the main sites. But the price refelects this and Berlin transport is excellent so I highly recommend this place.

Das Frühstücksbuffet wurde vor der angegebenen Zeit (10 Uhr) abgeräumt, der Hinweis auf den anderen Frühstücksraum hätte freundlicher ausfallen können.

Propreté,bonne literie,calme,bon rapport qualité,prix;

Nähe zu Sporteinrichtungen (Eishockeyhalle).

Da wir auf untrschiedlihn Wegen gebucht haben, kam für die Eltern der Eishockeykinder aus Erfurt verschiedenste Preise zu stande, obwohl auf die Zusammengehörigkeit hingewiesen wurde. Dies sollte nicht passieren!

Wir waren in diesem Jahr zum zweiten mal im Hotel Kolumbus und waren mit den Leistungen rundherum zufrieden.

Przemiła obsługa,mozna liczyć na ich porade w każdej chwili... Bardzo dobra znajomość jezyka angielskiego. Przepyszne, wysmienienie, przepyszne ,wysmienite...śniadanie ... jak na taka cene. Duzy wybór pieczywa, wedlin, serów (nie jestem w stanie zliczyć). Przepyszna kawa I makssssssymalny wybór musli. Pokoje przyjemne, posiadaja tv, szafki, bardzo wygodne łóżka, dużo reczników, duża przestrzeń. łAzienka bardzo prosta ... ale ok... Kiedy mysle o kolejnym wypadzie do Berlina napewno mysle o hOTELU kOLUMBUS .. Napewno polecę znajomym ....

Minusy ...hmmm.. Nie zbyt atrakcyjny widok z okna moze warto zainstalować zaluzje... Małe mydełko na jedna osobe w folijce... I pokoje 4 osobowe sa dzielone z innym gosciem I jego 4 osobowym pokojem ... niby mamy swoja łazienke jednak jedna obok drugiej napewno jest mozliwośc zmiany na 2 oddzielne wejśća ... kwestia remontu.... Ale I tak bardzo miło I wróce ja bede w okolicy ...
