    - The personnel was amazingly kind and hospitable. - The location is just right, in the downtown area but not directly exposed to the main street. - The rooms are clean, spacious, very modern, well designed, and well equipped. - Large bathroom with warm/cold water at all times. - Breakfast is very comprehensive and fresh. - Makes you feel like home

    nothing to complain about really

Great breakfast - with diy espresso/caffe latte machine. Free coffee and tea available in the common area, day and night. Wine, beer, snacks are out for reasonable prices - and are on a pay on your honor basis (how refreshing!). Parking works with a pass issued by the hotel, which is good for any of the town's pay as you go spaces. Charmingly remodeled rooms/spaces, though, yes, the floors are a little off kilter (but it is an old house and that adds to the charm). Nice staff, great location, quiet (with extra door separating sleeping area from hall). Internet at 10mb/S.

Only drawback - unavoidable - is that you may have to climb stairs, which would be challenging for the elderly or handicapped.

Position within Oberammergau, 1 minute to the main area but so quiet. Great breakfast. No restaurant but opposite a fantastic Italian pizzeria/restaurant.

    Parking may be a problem.

This is an older hotel in the middle of Oberammergau that has seen some interesting renovations. Our room was huge, but sparsely furnished with early Target selections. The price was reasonable and the location was very good. It wasn't far to all of Ludwig's nearby castles and we could drive to them all in one day from the hotel. Sandra, the proprietor, was very friendly and wanted to make our stay enjoyable. She always has a smile on her face and is very helpful. The breakfast spread was very good, looks of variety and good quality food. Parking is on the street, but the hotel provides a free pass for your windshield and we could easily find a spot within a block or two of the hotel, night or day. Overall, a funky little place, but a decent value and service/location.

The decor is spartan and simple. Some of the renovations are minimalist and not necessarily professionally done. If you are looking for old world charm, this hotel doesn't have it.
