Good location. Polite & attentive staff
Breakfast turn in weekend
The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The rooms were very clean and there was a good supply of towels and toiletries. The hotel is only a few steps away from the Underground which made moving around the city just so easy.
Hotel has an excellent location with easy access to the airport and only a few minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. Many tourist spots (Museum Island, Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate etc) are within easy reach. Helpful staff, comfortable rooms and excellent value.
The only criticism I would offer is the price of the breakfast.
I liked the size of my room, the generous bathroom, the cleanliness and the quiet location - no noisy traffic. I also greatly enjoyed the large choice of breakfast items and the excellent service.
wifi worked only intermittently
Location, very close to U2, clean, 2 Becks / 1 Water / 1 Soda for free every day, fair river view, nice room and bathroom
Problem with door and key, expensive breakfast 16 euros (not recommended), annoying pictures on the wall in the room
Good hotel. Warm and clean. Loved the sauna and little pool. Excellent to have a kitchenette in the bedroom. Generally, comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Kind staff, the location is not the best but the close subway station saves the situation, some Internet issues.
The hotel does not have double beds, even they call two mattresses as a double bed. On the other hand, I paid an extra fee for the canal view, when I saw more the main street. I felt duped.
The hotel was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast a bit expensive but the quality and choice was very good. Location next to the undergroud was very convenient.
Street outside was a bit noisy.
Desk assistant on the day of my arrival and departure (same guy) was great (another guy—see next box—wasn't that great). Good location (next to metro), clean and quiet.
Horrible wi-fi. When I enquired of it (slow speed), the desk assistant told me off!
You are not right in the middle of the tourist attractions but you are right next to a metro stop and just a block away from a supermarket. Room was great very comfortable. Kitchen facilities are very basic (sink, stove, kettle and microwave) but for a few days they were fine.
Wifi was a bit sketchy for the first few days I couldn't get reception in my room so had to stand in the hall. But this was fixed after a couple of days.
Room and bed OK.
Wifi wasn't available. Hotel was unable to provide Wifi access on 3 consecutive days. On top: phone reception very bad, you need to go on the street to have a phone call.
As in any Derag property the cost-benefit relation is excelent. And you know what you are paying for. The location REALLY in front of a small U2 line station (Markishes Museum) is more than and advantage. Not only for the unexistent distance, but also because the U2 line is very useful.
This was not the most updated room, I stayed in a a Derag hotel, but everything was functional and 100% in order. The cleaning team did not speak English, so we could not find a consensus about our requests, as exchanging the bath robe as many times as the towels.
Very good location, nice and clean rooms with all facilities. One matrass bed just like we asked. Perfect breakfast.
The personnel seems to lose grip on the amount of people having breakfast in the morning. Hardly any refills of the breakfast (so after 10 many things were just empty!) and stressed personnel. This is not necessary with a better organization!
Most liked the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room, friendly staff, good amenities such as a bar and restaurant and guest laundry facilities in the basement. Excellent location as well.
I cannot think of anything I did not like.
Friendly, helpful reception, willing to do more than the average. Breakfast was excellent with good service. Room was not large but clean and nice.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like
Almost everything - especially the cosy bed covers, also being able to stay an extra night when initially told hotel was full and would have to move to the Henriette across the street.
Packing up all our belongings, checking out, rolling suitcases across the street - to be told room was available in first hotel and back we trundled - but also very pleased!
The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Also, the 2 beers and 2 water bottles were a nice gesture.
There were no queen or king size beds available, only two double beds.
Location of the hotel - right beside a U Bahn station - was perfect. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend this hotel.
- Location - 20 meters of the subway - The room has good size, is clean and quite. Very good bed. Bathroom is big. - TV channels with films in english (included in the room rate). - Freege in the room with two beers per day included in the rate
- Eur 16,00 for one breakfest ? We had to have breakfast in one bakery 100 meters from the hotel.
The location. And now the wi-fi is great (I have stayed there many times over the past decade, and the wi-fi has gone from terrible to excellent).
Felt like I was in a residential neighborhood
Room was upgraded but they did not tell me I was being charged more for it. When my bill came it, it was higher than what I had booked though your company. Will not stay here again when in Berlin.
Great location... Central... Tram outside hotel
Spaciousness and room comfort and very accommodating and helpful staff. Very well priced and having the Metro was a bonus too. We would be happy to recommend this hotel.
Distance from other restaurants too far. We felt a few toiletries would not go astray! And being able to substitute the 2 complimentary bottles of beer for a small bottle of wine would have been pleasing.
Good hotel. Good location. Quiet room.
Metal Decor fell down from the ceiling in the bathroom and could have hit someone in the head or other body part. This would result a substantial damage to one of us. Besides, it looked like the metal plate was put back temporarily in the past. The edges were sharp, and the piece was heavy. My friend was in the shower about 75 cm from the place where it fell down. After all this we went to reception and explained what had happened and said we wanted to change rooms. When we came back in the afternoon was the decor back in the ceiling. There was a fruit basket and a very nice letter in German. I think someone apologized for the incident. We went down to the front desk and requested a new room. We got it. I often stay in hotels around Europe and have never experienced anything like it. Hope that Jens Peters, the hotel manager found out about the incident and resolve such incidents in a better way. / Magnus
