This hotel built in the early 1900s offers a spa and a free breakfast buffet. It is located beside a rose garden, a short walk from the River Saale and the centre of Bad Kissingen. All rooms at the Villa Thea Kurhotel am Rosengarten have a private bathroom and a TV. Most rooms have beds suitable for older people and some rooms have a view of the rose garden. A large breakfast buffet is available each morning at no extra charge. Lunches and buffet dinners are also provided. Villa Thea Kurhotel am Rosengarten has a physical therapy department. Guests can book water exercises, medical baths, massages or relax on the sun terrace. Parking is available for a small daily fee. Beautiful hotel, right on the Rose Gardens, and a block from the Marketplace,. They do not take Visa, and we were not notified of that, so had to use Euro's to check out of the hotel, the girl at check out did not speak English so was hard to understand what the problem was. Kinda left a bad taste in our mouths.

In einem der Doppelzimmer roch es penetrant nach Weihrauch, dieser Geruch konnte auch durch Lüftung nicht gemindert werden, so dass ein mitreisender Allergiker erhebliche Probleme hatte.

Wir waren zur "Senioren-Kur" im Haus Thea. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Haus gibt es eine eigene Badeabteilung, so dass man für die Anwendungen keine Wege hatte. Die Lage, gleich am Rosengarten (Teil des Kurparks), ist ideal, auch für Menschen, die nicht mehr so gut laufen können. Im Cafe Saale, nur 1 x um die Ecke, gibt es nicht nur leckeren Kuchen und unseren "Renner": die kalte Buttermilch mit Waldfrüchten. Dort kann man aus Lautsprechern auch Musik hören. Aber zu den kostenlosen Kurkonzerten im Kurpark ist es auch nur unwesentlich weiter! Das Kurorchester spielt 2 - 3 x am Tag. Wunderschön! Fazit: Das Haus Thea ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Ausserordentlich freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr sauber und gepflegt, ruhig und schön gelegen, jedoch sehr zentral, sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Dass man einen festen Platz, zusammen mit anderen Kurgästen an einem Tisch, zugewiesen bekommt, kann zeitweise etwas schwierig sein.

Einzig die Lage konnte überzeugen. Völlig veraltetes Interieur. Es besteht sehr großer Renovierungsbedarf. Teilweise bestehen die Möbel aus den Zeiten des Gelsenkirchener Barocks. Für das Gebotene ist der Preis viel zu hoch.
