Area information
The state-recognised climatic spa resort of Nordenau is an idyllic village in the Smallenberger Sauerland region. It lies just a few kilometres away from the mountain "Kahler Asten" and the town of Winterberg. Surrounded by the wooded peaks of the Hunau and Rothaar Mountains, it lies 625 - 800 metres above sea level.
The town is characterised by beautiful timber-framed houses, the town church with its tower, and the ruins of the Rappelstein Castle. Landscape and nature reside in perfect harmony here.
