I love this country inn, since we travel by car, the place is not an issue. We like the owner since she is quite good and kind, she apply a free travel pass for us to travel in the black forest region, the food is also delicious with the housemade meat ball and pork chop. we call it Germany Nong Jia Le.

Excellent value on a farmstead. Well- kept, clean, family-run, good buffet breakfast. Staff all willing to be helpful and do their best. All rooms have a balcony with good outlook over a green valley. Train enthusiasts will enjoy the trains passing over the spectacular distant viaduct across the valley. If you can see past the orange decor it is a very nice practical, basic and economic base for touring the Black Forest.

The grass in front was being re-sown and looked bleak. Flower boxes not yet out on balconies which will make a huge impact. No evening food available the Monday we stayed and steak house in village was also closed but excellent historic restaurant in Aach nearby. The "sun" theme means that orange is the predominant design colour which traps the hotel in last-century, retro, pre-Ikea design themes. The beds were comfortable but sheets a bit thin.

    Good balcony and heating

It was probably the most disappointing hotel we had ever been to. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no rubbish bin in the room, towels laying on the floor next to the beds, etc. The breakfast was poor: there was no fruit or any juice, no water, cereal tasted old, the mentioned homemade cake nowhere to be found... To top it all up, they don't accept credit cards, we had to pay cash and they even had no change so we were forced to leave tip.
