The town is lovely to walk around.
The town is lovely to walk around. Only small but plenty of food choice. There was even an ice cream shop. Theres a park with lots of different apple trees growing and a plumb tree overhanging from the neighbouring church yard. The old town tower/gates makes a grand entrance/backdrop and the fountain adds a nice touch. We only stayed for one night but there looked to be plenty of walking in the area. Beautiful little town. Very relaxing, ideal for wind down after being on the road all day. Plenty of local beers made here too and biker friendly.

Best of all, there was a table and enough chairs to spend the evening with board games together. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. Dinner was served very kid-friendly too. Very family friendly. The staff is great and you immediately feel at home. Even though I was the only person with kids, I felt very welcome. Very central in Schlüsselfeld, easy to walk everywhere. Easy to reach via motorway, yet gar enough from the motorway so that you can't hear it. Very quiet.

The hotel is close to the motorway, so that is a main bonus. The room is very nice and the bed is extremely comfortable which is important after a long journey. The bathroom is clean with soft towels. The owner lady is very friendly and they do serve fabulous home made food which I could eat every day. Next year we are planning to stop there again. :)
