The place is stunning! From our bedroom we could see the mountains from the top window in the roof. The breakfast is good and big.. The owner is very friendly and always happy to help. He gave us all the informations about the town and which were the best places to ski. We felt home.
The shower isn't comfortable at all. If you are tall, you probably doesn't fit under it (ceiling is very low). NO WIFI!! Went to complain about it and we were said that he couldn't do anything, because the reception sometimes wasn't good.. It's fine if the pension doesn't have wifi, just don't advertise so. One of ours criterion when we booked the hotel was to have wifi. Really disappointing! If you don't have a car, it's a bit inconvenient, half an hour on foot to reach the city centre.
The guesthouse was very clean. The staff were more than helpful, and went out of their way to provide some small additional requests when it came to breakfast
Good location for the castles; helpful owners;
Bit too packed - e.g. tiny room and people having breakfast literally by your door in the morning if you are assigned a room downstairs; no-shoes policy so you have to pick random slippers at the entrance and hope they're reasonably clean;
The hostess was awesome. She was very attentive. She laid out a beautiful breakfast.
We had the upstairs the shower was to short to stand in.
Free transfer from & to train station.
No shops or restaurants nearby. Not good location.
Environment Clean room big space warm employees
parking on the road side
Even though we called a day ahead to tell we would be after 7 P.M., we were not greeted in a friendly way. Also, you have to take your shoes off in some rooms. That felt weird.
Unable to use the shower( ceiling too low) unable to take a bath no plug in. Twice we found the door of the room open and unlocked anybody could have entered the room while our belonging we're still there.
Everything was alright
This is a small place and while things are alright it doesnt feel friendly. I felt like I was imposing being there. Thicker skinned people would be fine.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
One of the rooms under the roof had a bathtub which they fabricated into a shower. It was hard taking a shower in there. Anyone over 5'4" was too tall to fit in there to properly shower.
It is clean,
We all got angry on arriving there, for the owner even did not allow us to go into the lobby and waited outside the house when he showed the rooms to one of us. We have booked four rooms, located from the basement to the top. During the time, he kept emphasising the rules again and again. At the same time,my 8 partners (never have been treated like this)crowed in the corridor. I did not understand why. All the Germans we have met are nice and friendly. Was that because we are 3 minutes later than the check-in time, or because I rang the doorbell three times because I worried that no one was in because we were three minutes late? Finnally, I was shown all the rooms and the staff got annoyed because the crowded 8 persons are reading the travel information about Fussen on the wall without his permission! How can a hotel ask customer waited outdoors after a long a tiring jouney. We have paid. It is just a deal. But we were treated unfair. So , I have to say, it is a worst place, for the owner's rudeness, and prejudice or anyting else.
We were not given the room we had booked although an adjustment was made on the rate. Our actual room had a streetlight right outside the window by the bed which the curtain did not begin to block out. It was very hard to get the internet to work. Would advise travelers visiting Neuschwanstein to try a small hotel or guesthouse in a town closer to the castle.
The owner's wife was so very helpful, even when I didn't pay for breakfast she always let me use here kitchen and helped me finding what I needed, she explained us very clearly how to reach the castles and for a reasonable price her husband drove us next day early to be there on time. It's close enought to the train station and they drove us last day for free there .Very Happy experience,
Comfortable and clean
Grumpy manager. Strict check in rules.
The hosts were frienly.
It was not spacious enough. When we got there, the door was closed. Although we could get in, after about 30minutes of struggle, it was very embarrassing situation. I notified my arrival time earlier.
Beautiful location, very peaceful and staff were very friendly. Big and neat rooms with beautiful view.
The weather.... Lol
The room was clean and there was a kitchen area that had snacks and drinks available to buy.
We booked a classic double room which should have had a king bed and a sofa couch. What we got was a small room with a double bed and couch packed in to it. The room was about half the size advertised. We were told that a guest taken ill and had to stay an extra day so they couldn't give us the room we had booked. They did give us a free breakfast since the accommodations were so cramped; but we felt that a reduction in the room price would have been appropriate. If they had notified us of this before we arrived, we could have made other arrangements. As it was we spent an uncomfortable night where we took turns sleeping on the bed and the couch. They have a strict nonrefundable policy on the room and it is a 25 minute hike to the tourist office, so be sure you want to stay there before booking. The checkin time is limited to about 3 hours in the afternoon starting at 4 PM. And the checkout is strictly no later than 10:00 AM. I would not recommend this facility to anyone traveling on foot (as we were). It is not convenient to the old town nor to the railway station, although there is bus service that runs about once an hour.
We had a spacious room in the basement with a large bathroom. The area is a quiet residential area. Breakfast was good, as well. For a small fee, they also provide shuttle service to the castles, which is very helpful.
The location was hard to find, and we were not given adequate directions.
B and B style. Hv hot water but can't cook at kitchen. Big and comfortable room
Need to reserve for the shuttle car.
Gracious and friendly staff. Great advice about local dining potions and sightseeing.
Nothing in particular except the lady-owner is polite and not intrusive (though I felt she was rather attentive during my stay).
Location is inconvenient for those without a car. This B&B is situated quite far away from the train station and town centre (about half an hour on foot), in a residential area with very few amenities nearby, but quite busy traffic (thus a fair amount of traffic noise throughout most part of the day if the room is facing the road). The worst thing about this B&B is that many of the things it says on the Booking.com website is either untrue or misleading. I booked a Classic Double Room. The description on the website says the room size is 20 square metres, but I gathered that the room (including the very very small bathroom) is at most 15 square metres. The website also says the room has extra long beds (in excess of 2 metres). But the bed inside the room is actually smaller than a standard-size double bed one would find in other similar places. Worse still, the bed is put in a place such that 3 sides of the bed is virtually touching the wall and the only way one could get onto the bed is from the end of the bed, not from the bedside (I believe the bed is put in such a way because the room is so small that it is only possible way to put the bed inside the room). Moreover, the bed is unstable and shakes with sqeaking noises whenever one moves on the bed. The description on the website also says the room facilities include a safe deposit box, dressing room, tile/marble floor and radio, but none of these can be found in the room. The website also says wi-fi is available in all area of the whole hotel, but the fact is the only place you could get connected is the breakfast room, which is rather inconvenient, especially if your room is located on the other floors. Lastly, the B&B says on the website that it has a kitchen which all guests are welcome to use. In fact, the place is NOT a kitchen (as a kitchen should be a place one could do some cooking, no matter how simple).
Cleanliness is good. One staff is nice, he offered to send us to the train station.
Staff is rude, called us 'dirty' when we were checking out, even though when we packed all the rubbish in a plastic bag and left it in the room. We felt discriminated with the way that we were treated. Remote location, around 20+minutes from the train station. Check in time at 4pm. We reached at 2pm, we were made to wait outside the hotel under the sun, no matter how we knock on the entrance door, the staff inside signaled that they cannot let us in till 3pm.
everything is satisfying
Very good service lifting the people from the Train Station
Great appartament (for me it was an appartament, altough sold as a room, much space, great atmosphere)
Better make the check-out on time :) The Bathtub is only a Shower :(
