My Wife and I with 2 Friends stayed overnight on December 8, 2014. The Receptionist was very polite and recommended an inexpensive restaurant. The food was terrific. The complete bath amenities was appreciated. Comfortable bed and heated bath made our stay very enjoyable. The value was excellent. Sincerely, JIM
Nice comfort bed, very good breakfast, good location
The neat and clean room was just what I needed for a few hours sleep before an early morning flight. The price was unbelievable and I was a bit worried, but everything was fine. So glad there was a lift, since I was by myself with three suitcases! The night manager ordered a taxi for me: he was on time and I was only in the taxi for about 7 minutes before getting dropped off at Tegel airport. It was well worth the money to avoid having my host family try to get me to the airport for a 6am flight.
Never saw the neighborhood in the daylight, so can't comment. The doors are locked after 10pm and that was a surprise to me, but the night manager was quick to answer the phone and was quite pleasant.
Good night sleep. Comfortable bed. Cozy room.
Elevator was not working...
The staff were helpful and all needs catered for. They served nice coffee in the morning. It wasn't far from the nearest underground tube station.
The decor was drab and there was no lighting in the stairwell; when arriving back after dark it was difficult to navigate our way upstairs.
great location, friendly staff, reasonable room rate, good selection for breakfast
you have to pay for internet
Close to the airport, clean, nice staff, big room. I was very sad to stay only for one night!
The room was clean and comfortable with its own balcony. Convenient distance from public transport.
No free wifi
Very good for rasonable price.
The bar close at 10.00
I booked a non-smoking room at the hotel and it seems I missed ticking off the non smoking requirement. When I arrived at the hotel, seriously tired after 27 hours of flying I found that I had been booked into a smoking room. Believing I had very well booked this and tired as I was, I do feel I behaved somewhat unfairly towards the gentleman behind the desk. However his friendly manner in assisting me and the friendliness and professionalism of the rest of the staff left me looking at Hotel Larat as a definite future destination. It is clean, worth the money and really good for passengers passing through Berlin Tegel Airport.
Like most hotels in old towns they are now next to busy roads but in its defence, the hotel does take good care to make the rooms as quiet as possible and a good rest can be had.
Helpful staff, cheap place to stay overnight when transiting Berlin
Room smelled of cigaret smoke. The hotel is much further away from Tegel Airport as it seemed on map
staff very helpful
TO PAY FOR wi-fi
Close to Tegel airport, clean and really a great deal for the price.
No bar or restaurant on premises and also nothing worthwhile in the area in terms of eating.
I did not know I had to pay for using WIFI before going there because it's not mentioned on the website .so I asked reception for WIFI she responded me I need to pay 5 euros for 24 hours and then I ask her why should I pay for it u didn't say anything before and then she said there is nothing to do with that it's my boss rule .during staying there everything was good but this item made me a bit angry and sad.i have been several differend hotels in europ but they never demanded money for WIFI.i hope this rule will be changed as soon as possible.thank u
Nothing to consider.
The hotel closes at 22:00 this is absurd. I was not informed at the time of booking. I learned this procedure on my arrival, almost slept on the street twice. Very cigarette smell, despite warnings of smoking ban. A gentleman at the reception was very grumpy and rude. The lousy breakfast with few options considering the amount paid and there was a day that egg omelet was like spoiled.
It is very close to Tegel airport. Also, you can go very quickly to the city centre with U6. The room was good enough and quiet. The staff was very helpful.
Wifi too expensive.
the room is alight. It is big enough for few days to stay.
you hve to pay extra for internet. no wi fi
Easy access to Tegel airport and central berlin.Polite and attentive staff.
Noise from street .
the size of rooms
The hotel is really close to the Tegel airport (fear not, the windows do not let the sound go through, I had a high quality sleep).Furthermore, the room is very cosy, I loved the furniture's style, it reminded me of XIXth cent. What is more, the staff is very helpful. There is no problem, if you're english speaker or visiting for the first time!
I think that the biggest disadvantage was the bathroom. It needs to get modernized a little bit.
Near mertobus stop
Traffic noise, I couldnt sleap well, wi-fi 5€/day, no fridge, no teapot.
The staff is very helpful and the room was spacious. Ask the front desk for dinner recommendations in the area. Very close to the Tegel airport!
The street noise is a bit much. The wifi is a T-Mobile hotspot that did not work very well at all. It was spotty and weak.
It was close to Tegle Airport and the bus line to it.Only two stops to the airport.
Not Very close to city center and the major sites of Berlin.
-Staff -Breakfast -Beds -Location -CLEAN
-WIFI (Tmbile pass) bad -Parking fee -Communication between front desk members could be better. We asked adjacent rooms because of the kids, but were moved around although it was confirmed on the phone. The guy from the front desk did everything he could to fix it. But to no avail. We expected to get at least parking or WIFI for free for the trouble but no luck.
