Liked - All staff - reservations to front desk to housekeeping to porters to bar staff - impeccable manners and helpfulness. Eg. Nothing was a problem - asked for kettle for room, extra pillows, extra blankets etc. Loved foyer, reception area - funky lift - all general areas - are lovely etc. Grand Deluxe rooms - huge. IPhone dock and charger beside beds - nice touch! Rooms very clean. Fabulous huge flatscreen tv. Great views of tower on one side of hotel too. Location perfect. Hated the third bed for a triple room being a roll out camp bed. Not good enough at all. We paid nearly 800 euro for a triple room for 3 adults for 3 nights - and a camp bed is not acceptable. Decor of actual bedrooms drab sludge green - the contemporary look of bedrooms doesn't match the beautiful old world charm of the rest of the hotel. All 13 of our group disliked their individual rooms based on decor - not romantic, not relaxing, very cold decor wise, awkward lighting eg no main lights in bedroom - all lamps with individual switches. Basic double rooms are tiny. Not enough working computers in foyer to cope with groups who need to book in online for flights the night before - and expensive - 6 euro per half hour access. |

Hotel is located opposite train station next to old town. Staff was very pleasant. Rooms are good and the deal we got via booking was well worth it. I think usual price of the room is about 270 Eur. Will stay again |

The bar was perfect!!! The recepcion staff was unkindly when we arrived. The rooms and the beds were small, the shower head was fixed in the bath. |

The hotel is opposite one of the entrances to the Nurnberg old city with one of the old towers in view. It is also opposite the main train station and taxi rank. This means you can walk to anywhere within the old city from the hotel and for more out lying attractions you can take the U-bahn or a taxi. The front desk staff were very helpfull always and handled the question of our room not being available on time in a friendly and professional manner. The interior of the hotel is beautiful. Apparently due to an exhibition that was on and previous guests' late departure. our room was still not ready at 17h00! That was annoying but the staff did explain the situation and gave us another room until ours was ready. This still meant though that I could not unpack before our evening appointment and I do feel it is the hotel's duty to get guests out of their rooms in time. Also when we did get our room it was not cleaned properly and the previous guests personal rubbage was still in the bathroom bin - and it was not nice to look at! For a five star hotel I also felt they lack the small things that make a hotel exceptional: a turn-down service with something on the pillow, the newspaper, etc. |

Location was fairly good. Noisy across from train station. Everything. There was no soap in the bathroom, no ice available, requested room service..it never came. Building was under construction on first two floors; I was on the third. Very poor lighting, couldn't even read in the room. There were no comfortable chairs only 1 modern crome desk and desk chair. Very poor accommodations. I would like a refund!!!! |

The decor was funky, the beds comfortable and the location great. Staff were friendly and helpful I was in a front room over the main road and it was very noisy. The room was very small for a double room and the internet was expensive |

The hotel is expensive but we got a great rate through booking.com. The location is perfect to the train station and the old city. The hotel itself is very elegant and the room was very nice, modern and clean. the bathroom was wonderful and beautifully appointed. the staff was excellent and provided many services. We were moving from an assignment in Germany back to the states and they helped with many problems we encountered. They provided a scale to weigh our suitcases and then they helped us get these suitcases over to the train station. We loved the fact that the room was air conditioned, a rarity in Germany. The breakfast buffet was expensive at 32Euro so we got coffee and pastry outside of hotel. But they did give a coupon for a free coffee in their cafe. The bathtub was high and sloped, a little difficult to get in. The only negative in a beautiful bathroom. |

Two minutes walking from the train station and 5 minutes from the city centre. The room was minuscule and looked pretty much like a room in a student hall. |

The staff were excellent, very helpful and attentive, and the chambermaid was particularly good, taking real care over the room. The decor is also good, with some wonderful Art Deco features. It would be nice to also have a more informal dining option, as well as the formal restaurant. |

We liked everything. The staff was wonderful, the room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. After a day of sightseeing it was like coming home at the end of the day. We would stay there again and recommend it to our friends. |

All hotel staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The location could not be more convenient to the main station and the entrance to the inner city. The food was very good but less than a good value. No coffee makers in the room and the substantially overpriced breakfast. |

Good position in the city, large rooms and bathrooms The rooms are the same like 30 years ago, nothing changed - not even the carpet. Old style catodic tube TV set (24 inch - very small, especially in a large room like this). All prices for parking, minibar, other services reflect the rating of the hotel (5 stars!!!), but didn't worth the money. The heating system was stoped in the whole hotel at the begining of April. |
