Great location. Good parking.
the hotel Maintenance Mode
The breakfast was mediocre. The fact that Booking.com did not notify me of the fact that the hotel had traded owners after I booked it and that it was under renovations the entire time of my stay. And that the room I booked wasn't available upon arriving. Then I was put in a lesser valued room until they upgraded me and upon doing this made my stay a little more pleasant. The regular bar was completly unavailable and the fact that I had to enjoy cocktails with my wife in the resturant part of the hotel made it that much more less romantic.
I liked the atmosphere of the building. The staff was friendly and polite.
There were only 1 person on duty at the reception which caused some waiting.
I like the entrance hall
The bathroom was old fashioned and did not have a proper powerful hairdryer , an essential in a business hotel. also towelling robe and slippers
Very good position Very comfortable bed Good and rich breakfast
the bathroom and bedroom are a bit old wifi didn't work well
Location was good
The two rooms we had were in very bad conditions. The sink was clogged, water tap in the toilet is leaking, the shower head was broken and the street in front of the hotel was very busy and noisy from early morning. A view to the nice park Augustaanlage also included windows to the busy street. And on top of all this, the rooms were smelling of fungus.
The front desk is not very friendly or helpful.
We are a family with a small children. We made a reservation and came too late at night in this day but we were informed that we could arrive late as their service is 24 hours. However wenn we arrived (it was rainning a lot and our children was sleeping) they said there was no more room for us and sent us to another hotel. On the way of this hotel, we had an accident with our car...I mean, it was a terrible experience and we would never, never come again!!
Once I could contact them about double payment issue, the staff recognised their mistake, and I got my refund very fast.
They charged the room twice, once upon booking, and a second time at the end of the stay despite my comments saying I thought the room was already paid
For check in there was a long queue, but only two staff members there; would have expected they are able to have more staff as needed. The room I had might need some refresh in the next few years.
Easy check in and out Location in city center, lots of resturants nearby Easy parking
Fitness area was in very poor condition: Cross trainer broken and noisy, Bike not working, running machine old. 22€ breakfast just not worth it. single room very dated and faced directly onto main road (noisy).
Bathroom excellent big and equipped.Huge beds for everyone.Very important for a hot summer nice temperature from the air-condition for a night and day.
Small outside parking space.
- close to everything you might need - taxi's are waiting
Nice reception, bar, breakfast
The breakfast was very modest. Not in the same level as the rest of the hotels profil
It is located right infront of the Wasserturm, which is for me the best view of Mannheim. Surrounded by beautiful bars and restaurants, you will not want to leave the blocks around the hotel. Cost / Benefit relationship was definitely positive. Personnel were helpful.
Good location and comfortable bed. Especially liked the pillow options.
No Iron and Ironing Board in the room so was unable to Iron my own shirt for the next day.
The quality of the furnitures, modernity of the room, quality of the breakfast, beauty and amplitude of the entrance, the location.
The view to the parking block!
Best Breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. They had hot items like eggs, sausage, small pancakes, etc. as well as fresh cut fruit and the usual European breakfast of meats, cheeses and breads. The hot chocolate, coffee and fruit juices were excellent as well. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and well taken care of. This hotel was definitely worth its 4 star rating. Also, the location couldn't be better as it is a half a block from the main square of the city.
I never saw an umbrella in the room before. I thought it was a nice touch.
I was not able to access in the internet in the lobby and did not have time to ask for assistance
We got two rooms connected by inbetween door. Very helpfull staff.
Not a lot . .
An old, tired, sparingly refurbished and very smelly hotel. The blanket and pillows were tatty and especially the down blanket smelled awful. The bathroom lacked modern comfort, with the shower in the bath and the old fashioned bathtub was never intended for easy access to the shower. It was downright dangerous to get in and out of the bathtub/shower. The price charged was not at all in keeping with what was offered. Also the star rating is not correct at best this property deserves a 3 star rating.
large common spaces and large room
sad atmosphere in room (no color, no art) non-functioning items (shower, light) overwhelmed staff, low level of service for this type of classy establishment (could not find reservation. Made the wake up call 10 min late. Did not ask about customer satisfaction level with the stay). In short: very over-priced for the level of service.
Great location in the best part of Mannheim. Good breakfast (if someone else is paying for it). Quiet rooms that are well isolated from noise. Modern furnishings.
Pricey. They are trying too hard to be hip. Internet connectivity not great. Parking expensive and inconvenient.
Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and close to everything.
The internet connection wasn't very good and you needed to request a new access code from the front desk every 5 hours. Room was also too warm and the air conditioning didn't seem to work.
