Free sauna use and free Wi-Fi are available at this 4-star hotel in central Hamburg. Set on the outskirts of the Old Town district, it is just an 8-minute walk from Hamburg Central Train Station.
Score from 1496 reviews Good

Score from 2232 reviews Good
This hotel is in a central location, just over a quarter mile from Hamburg Main Station and the Speicherstadt district. Ibis Hamburg City has a restaurant and 24-hour front desk.
Score from 285 reviews Very good
- the room with shower and sink - comfortable double bed - got the room at 4th floor, windows not on the street, very quiet - position, 1 minute walking from train station(and all the public transport), in the nice S.George neighboorhood (nice restaurants and cafes) - good quality/price for spending a weekend
- common bathroom should be improved, small and old - poor English speaking from some member of the staff, but not a big issue - 5euro per day for wi-fi connection
Facilities is not good.
Helpful staff. No control to baggage storage.
We asked for a king bed for a couple. They gave us two single beds... we claim and they changed for second night.
The location is very close to the central station and bus stops (2 min walk). There are many shops and cafes nearby and several museums are in a walkable distance. The room was very small, with a shower but the toilet was just outside the room. the staff was good, it's basically a budget hostel so don't expect more.
It gets noisy when people come in/out. You can literally hear if people next room are talking or having FUN at night. It's quite noisy in the mornings when people have breakfast.
The location is only one block from the central station and the city center.
The room was a bathroom with a double bed in it. The room was not very clean. There were insects in my suitcase when I returned home.
The location is about 1-2 km from the center, there is a day and night parking place near by. The price 30 euro per night is ok.
The shared toilet could be cleaner and in the middle of the night it sounded like somebody was moving furniture. So we didn't really get much sleep.
Stayed for 2 nights at Hotel in a double room on first floor which is accessible by a lift. The best thing about the hotel is it's location, Hauptbahnhof (central train station) is a 2 minute walk away. So is easily accessible from Hamburg International Airport, take the S -Bahn from there to Hauptbahnhof which costs €3. The main bus station is only a 5 minute walk away. A lot of the things to see in Hamburg are all within a mile walk, including Aussenalster, City Hall, Warehouse District, Jungfernstieg. Overall, I would say if you just want somewhere to stay for 1 or 2 nights, or if you need somewhere close to main train or bus station then Hotel Lilienhof is fine. If you want a bit more comfort then I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Room was quite small and we had no room to open our suitcases properly. There was a rather pointless table and one chair which takes up valuable space in such a small room, as there's no kitchen facilities not sure why it's there. The 'bathroom' is actually in the room which consisted of a shower and sink with a mirror, with no separation of a wall or door which we have never experienced before. Shower head was broken and wouldn't stay up so had to hold it in hand. Floor got wet pretty easily due to a thin shower curtain, the same little part of floor that our suitcases were on. During our stay we saw 4 staff on reception and not one of them ever smiled, they all seemed to not want to be there and that they all hated their jobs.
hotel is extremely near Hamburg HBF price was good value for money is good
not sympathetic that in 2014 you still have to pay extra for WIFI Also tourist tax was not included hotel is noisy (street noise as well as closing doors in hotel) breakfast is limited.
Friendliness of the staff, helpful normal people.
That I had to go two floors down to the reception to get the key for the bathroom when I wanted to take a shower in the morning.
There was no shower in the room but at a time when one had to pay 6 euros for a bath .
The bathrooms are not quite well.
Location, staff , confort it was perfect
3 euro for the wifi without any waranty about quality of the connection.
comfortable bed very good location which is just beside the train station value for money
bad connection of wifi in the room especially it is being paid.
Good value for money, at least in Hamburg, which is quite expensive as far as hotel prices go, but a bit too expensive for what you get. Otherwise it was ok, very convenient location, room was clean, not very loud during the night. Bathroom was clean.
The room smelled like cigarettes, and for 50 euros you don't have a bathroom of your own. Also you have to pay for the internet (3 euros). Btw, the code is Hotel20099 if anyone wants it.
Staff are nice and available to help. The position is excellent, close to everything. The room had a little sink in it, useful to wash up without having to move to a separate washing room. Clean room and clean shared bathroom and shower.
The shower was too far from my room and the key mechanism (having to go down to reception to get it and then back to the shower) was a little uncomfortable. The shower room had a funny smell, not really pleasant, but a little better than a hostel shower. The room had some little pre-existing damages (i.e. windows blinds) that should be fixed in order to improve comfort. According to time, breakfast was not always complete..
Everything was ok, small, but nice room, toilet- was outside of room, but clean and shared with twoo rooms. Excellent location.
Pillow- it was something strange, no any shelf for toiletries.
I needed a place to stay for one night while waiting for friends to arrive the next day. It was easy and cheap (3 Euros) to get to from the airport by train. Shops and restaurants all around and then hop the train back to airport to meet my friends the next morning.
They were doing street repairs in front of hotel so very noisy but not hotels fault. It did have a shared bathroom in hall but right across from my room and never ever had a problem when needing to use.
Close to train station, much cheaper than many places
Grungy feeling, shared bathrooms
Excellent conditions and location.
Staff didnt speak english that well.but fullfilled the necessities
Rude staff, very old facility, not even too clean, not sound-isolating windows, wc in common and one shower per stage.
We were looking for cheap accommodations for one night, so this is it.
The WC on the second floor stinks a little bit (but the showering room was clean. No smell). When we asked them to keep our luggage, they asked us to go down the basement ourselves. In the basement, we saw there was already some bags left by other visitors, and no one was looking after them. I don't think it's a safe way to keep customers properties.
Location was good Had Wifi internet Running hot water and shower in room
Cost was high. No fan or air conditioner Small room stuffed with two single beds Sinking mattress
There's only one shower room on each floor. The staff doesn't speak English very well. When I checked in I paid the wifi fare, but on the following day one of the staff who was not working on the previous day rudely asked me to pay the wifi fare again without checking my payment. It was my worst stay in Europe in my life.
Attentions, good location for the purpose of my visit, good and kind people.
The limited Menu for breakfast
Right near the station. Small but tidy.
Toilet wasn't clean. Walls very thin.
