Lok-Inn

The host was extremely nice and helpful and you can see she is building up the accommodation in a good way. She made a great effort to help us get around, with water and other little things. This made all the difference to our stay. The room was small but comfortable and with free wifi it was perfectly suitable for us.

The location is right next to a train station so it looks a little dodgy from the outside. I only heard 2-3 trains during the night and they weren't too loud but normally I would prefer to stay in a more tranquil location.

Uta the lady who runs the Inn was excellent... Made me feel welcome and the best breakfast ever... Uta went out of her way to make you feel welcome.

We loved this place so much we stayed an additional night and wanted to stay longer. Lok-Inn is in a sleepy little village, but just steps away from the train station. We sort of heard the train, but it didn't disrupt any sleep. Breakfast was great. The owner was very friendly, and was great about telling us what we could do in the area.

Noisy railway line, but I slept OK!

The hotel is lying next to the railway along the Rhine. It's a very busy line and they keep driving by most of the night. Not easy to get an undisturbed sleep. The beds are poor. Together with the trains that meant that we did't sleep very much. It's a nice place though and the owners are sweet. But that dosn'tt compensate for the trains and the bed.

“It's not just a b&b, it's a very nice Chambres d'Hôtes!” Both terms might look similar, but for me the difference is very simple - the second type is always run by owners themselves. And that explains a lot. Who will be more taking care about their customers that the owners of the business? I think nobody. Lok-Inn overdelivers: you have perfect location near the Railway station, and trains do not disturb you as they are not noisy at all due to strict German law regulations. There are a few nice restaurants nearby, a Japanese restaurant "Miyagi" (which is, buy the way a destination place, people come to this restaurant from Frankfurt) just opposite, one dedicated to German cuisine, "Zur Schlupp" (unfortunately closed most of the Summer), a small and very cozy "Zum Treppchen" with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and beer & schnitzel place "Baumstammhaus". Service at Lok-Inn is very attentive, very helpful and very friendly. There is a nice terrace to relax on with a mug of beer of with a bottle of nice local Sekt (German sparkling wine) produced by the neighbor. The price for accomodation is more than reasonable, especially with free Wi-Fi, breakfast included, and that is in hi season!

Just two warnings: There is no air-conditioning, so if it is critically for you you'd better choose other place. Another waring is that you can only pay in cash, but there is an atm nearby, so it's not a big problem. Resume: it's not a place for those who are used to 5 stars hotels and need a pool, a spa and a big luxury room, but if you do count your money and prefer not "VIP" but friendly treatment - this place definitely over-delivers and will not disappoint you. For sure it is one of the best places for short stays in the area!

Cleanliness of room.

Received a very curt and cold reception from the owner. When I inquired whether the room would be very noisy because trains were running right in front of the hotel, I was told to either take it or leave it. The hotel is a converted train station, so the sound of goods and passenger trains can be deafening. There is also no lift and the staircase is very steep. Although breakfast is provided, it is very basic consisting of cold breads, some slices of cheese and beverage. Wifi available but is very unstable with weak signals. On our day of departure, we were told off for being late for breakfast. I have enjoyed my stay in Germany for past 3 weeks at various hotels and apartments, but this has to be one that I would rather forget.

Very friendly, helpfull staff, good price for what you get. You basically sleep in a trainstation but the noise of the trains is not disturbing as the hotel is very good isolated.

das Zimmer war viel zu klein

Es war einfach alles gut.Ich kann es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen,oder nich dann is ja immer ausgebucht.Nein wirklich war alles top von a-z.Der bahnhof stört nich wirklich,außerdem weiß man das ja schon bei der buchung.Ich sage Danke auch im Namen meiner Frau.Danke Uta.

Einfach die Art des Hotels, mit den Loks an den Türen, die Freundlichkeit, unkomplizierter Service.

Internet steht noch nicht komplett in allen Räumen zur Verfügung. Aber die Sind ja noch nicht ganz fertig, wird also besser.

Überaus freundliche, nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter! Liebevoll hergerichtete und sehr saubere Unterkünfte. Lage im Dorf und trotzdem innerhalb von Minuten (per Bahnhof oder Auto)im Stadtzentrum.

Unser Zimmer war etwas klein, für einen Kurzaufenthalt aber ausreichend.

Das freundliche Personal, das auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen ist und sich Zeit für eine kleine Unterhaltung genommen hat. Das leckere, liebevolle Frühstück. Freie Parkplätze. Bequemes Bett und der Zug am Gleis in unmittelbarer Nähe war für mich nicht zu hören.

Das Lok-Inn ist ein kleines, aber feines Gästehaus unter sehr freundlicher Unterführung. Wir haben uns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt.

Sehr nette Eigentümer/Personal!!!

Vom Lok Inn aus haben wir herrliche Radtouren am Rhein entlang gemacht. Wiesbaden, Rüdesheim - alles in erreichbarer Nähe. Unser kleines Hotel war dabei fast wie ein Zuhause - mit dem freundlichen Besitzerpaar, das den alten Banhnhof mit so viel Liebe aufarbeitet. Die beiden standen uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat (Räder nachts rein stellen) zur Seite, haben uns wertvolle Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben und vermittelten uns schnell das Gefühl der Vertrautheit. Im Hotel ist alles hell, neu und sehr sauber! Die nebenan ratternden Züge haben uns überhaupt nicht gestört. Das Lok Inn hat was - denn wer kann schon von sich behaupten, in einem alten Bahnhof Urlaub gemacht zu haben und sich dabei wunderbar erholt zu haben?!

Ein kleines Minus waren für uns fehlende BEQUEME Sitzmöglichkeiten im Zimmer.
