Location was great. Just ten minutes walk from Brandenburg Gate and the main train station. Staff very helpful. Locker facilities provided if you need to store items(e.g. late flight on check-out day).

I stayed here for two nights, loved the look of the place. My room was a single with a communal bathroom down the hall, about 35 euros a night. Small, but not tiny, nice big window, well heated, comfortable bed, strange, colorful face decorations. I think the cooler rooms are the more expensive ones, would love to go back and check out one of those. No elevator, 15 minute walk to train station. It's kind of strange how the street numbering works, 19 is directly across from 44 and 45....

The Hotel is at a perfect location, and hosted in an old building: you must be ready to suffer for some lack of facilities (E.G., no lift). I wanted a cheap accommodation in that part of the city, so I was prepared to some lack of facility, like no bathroom. However, I did expect a little more, I.E., a little washing facility in the room, and no one warned me clearly there was no elevator - which mean a lot in an old building with ceiling up to 4 meters! The comment at the reception was "I hope your baggage is not heavy, you are at the third floor and there is no elevator" (no offer to help me). The enviromnent of the hotel was pleasant, but it would need a deep cleaning and perhaps some little renovation, I was not able to get my room free of "mildew" smell, typical to the old moquettes, even by leaving the window open all day. Rooms less cheap than mine are probably better, I recommend the hotel only to people ready to accept all I have described.

The location for visiting the historic part of Berlin was fantastic, just 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Bus transportation from and to the airport was also very convenient. As for getting to other parts of Berlin, would need to talk 10 to 15 minutes to the nearest subway which was very acceptable. The hotel was hip in terms of design, yet respectful to its historical setting. Enjoyed the “design” element of the hotel. Although I had opted for a room without attached bath facility, the common one was always kept very clean and it almost felt like a person toilet in my home which I just needed to walk along a corridor to. The bed would be considered small by some people, though it was acceptable for my size. The mattress could also be more plush. It was obvious that my room design’s been changed since their brochure highlighting the design concept for each room was printed some time back and I could not find any information about my room’s design and the artist. This was a little disappointing, as I had stayed in the hotel to get a feel of the art culture in Berlin.

I was travelling to Berlin with a friend. For having different experience staying in different designed room, we book single room for each of us. So in two nights stay, we'd seen 4 rooms. Those rooms are fantastic. Will definitely stay there again if I travel to Berlin in future. P/S: very helpful staff and cheap price:)

Firts of all, we had very freindly hotel staff. They were always smiling, kind and help us if we needed it. I should mention that this hotel is very attractive and spesific in design! and I think this fact is great I had a very small room without stuff for cloths and it was not so good. I should locate my cloth on the floor

Staff very friendly and helpful. Interesting and "fun" lobby. Quirky staircase. Room small but very comfortable and a pleasure to come back to and rest in at end of the day. Loved the gentle art in my bedroom, and the poster/picture lined hallways. Bathroom kept immaculately clean. Central location near Friedrichstrasse station also a big plus. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Have nothing to criticize in relation to Arte Luise Kunsthotel. One of the best I have stayed in.

Good location, beautiful hotel with nice sayings written on the wall. Every room has pieces of art on the wall. One of the two showers didn't work properly and the bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast is 11 euro which is way too expensive.

This hotel has a truly unique and fun style. I loved the variety of artistic expression. Arte Luise Kunsthotel was more than just a place to stay while sightseeing around Berlin, it was like staying at one of the points of interest.

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel fully lived up to it's image as an art hotel. The double room was imaginativily equiped with an artistic installation. The location was excellent for my visit in central Berlin. Breakfast was standard fare, nothing exceptional, but perfectly adequate. And served by friendly waitress. I would stay there again.

Stylish but warm, a really pleasant, airy hotel with a green oasis of a courtyard. The only slight problem was the showers on the floor where the bathrooms are shared. One didnt drain properly and the other the shower head couldn't be manipulated.

“The best hotel I have ever stayed, lovely staff, both Luis and Steffi at the reception gave us useful information on shopping and restaurants, they were very polite and professional. Great location, just 15 minutes from Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse on foot, great for restaurants and shopping, close to undergraound (u Bahn) station, just 3 minutes walk. A wonderful hotel, very comfortable beds, very clean, they make you feel wonderfully, nice bar downstairs, I have travelled all over the world, this is a hotel which has fully thought of the traveller and make you feel at home. Direct phones lines to your room, sauna facilities, nice breakfast. I cannot find a con. ” Christina, Hatfield |
