This traditional Bavarian hotel features country-style rooms and a breakfast restaurant. It is a 2 minute walk from the main train station in Munich and a 15-minute walk from Marienplatz. The rooms at the Hotel Luitpold include hardwood furnishings and cable TV. The Luitpold's rich breakfast buffet is served each morning. This is included in the room rate. Wi-Fi is available at an extra cost at Hotel Luitpold. An underground parking lot is located next door at the Karstadt department store. Hotel Rooms: 41

Breakfast is really superb and hotel staff are nice and friendly. Excellent location. Coffee fellows (downstairs on the left) offers internet for almost free: a cup of coffee and you can stay connected for 2 hours; it supports iphone/android connectivity too! Room size and design changes a lot even between units on the same floor, door to door. Internet is 4.99 EUR/hour, which is crazy, but so is in the whole munich city center.

The good location and nice staff are about the only two good things about this hotel. If you're able to get a last minute special deal, it could be worthwhile. There is a lot of outside noise if you get a front room; so make sure you ask for a room at the back. There is no A/C or fan in the room; so if you stay there during hot summer days, get ready to sweat it out like never before... Hotel feels old and in need of a complete reno. Breakfast is not very appetizing. This is a great value for money only if you get a good special rate.

Room was comfortable, bathroom very clean. Black out blinds were a bonus. Very good location, across from the train station but on a nice street with cafes and some shops. Very close to karlsplatz and 10min walk from Marienplatz.

This was in a very good location in Munich. The trains/subway/bus main terminals right outside the door. Could walk to alot of major attractions in Munich. Price was reasonable. It is very small. 1 elevator that holds 2 people with luggage max! Not modern at all but very quaint. I paid to use the wifi and never could get it to work.

Close to Hautbanhof Streetfacng room very noisy from 4am with a succesion of street cleaners - and I am a heavy sleeper! Small room - severl lights did not work. Not good value for money compared to nearby hotels, such as the Mark..

This hotel is very clean, quiet, cozy and nicely decorated. You can't beat the location of right across the road from the main railway station and a walk to the old city and good shopping and restaurants.

Easy to come and everything went as planned. Price was very cheap and room ok. Recommendations for city travellers. Car parking was easy and quite cheap. Karstad parking hall is under the Hotel. Service was little bit rude somehow but still factual.

Firstly the hotel was up to my expectation eventhough see the review & I think it worth for every penny. Lift wad small but me and my wife enjoy the stay. First of all, i chose hotel luitpold because it had a low price comprehensive of breakfast and dog, and because of the location. The hotel was clean, simple and all the staff worked as a clock. I read some bad reviews here talking about noise of room 41 because of the elevator.. i slept in room 41 2 nights and had no problem about that. Also, the night shift asked me not to use the elevator when i came back at 4am, i liked that! Also, the garage here is set at 25€/day (because it's the one of the mall) but within 2-3 blocks there are plenty of garages at a lesser price (i parked at 17€/day at adolf-kipling strasse so parking cost is not an issue) as i sayd, everything worked as a clock

Hotel Luitpold came via recommendation by an experienced traveler as the perfect place for folks travelling by train and wanting to spend a short visit in Munich. Courteous and friendly staff, comfortable clean room well priced and easily accessible to everything in Munich. We walked to our train platform in five minutes! Christmas Markets in five in the other direction. Excellent place to stay.

Proximity to station good and aslo short walk to shops and restaurants.Breakfast quite adequate. No air-conditioning. Room a bit stuffy. Opening windows helped but then street noise quite loud. Very basic room for cost, but Munich is expensive.
