Luther-Hotel Wittenberg    

We enjoyed our 4-night stay very much. Our purpose was to learn more of the reformation & Martin Luther. The hotel served all our needs while there. The food was good - nicely cooked meals which we enjoyed. The staff were more than willing to assist us throughout our stay.

Our room was close to reception overlooking the hotel entrance. There were noisy people outside & at 2 am we had to call down from window informing them we were unable to sleep. After reporting this at reception, it did not happen again.

that they do not have internet in their rooms. this is very important and is really bad for this hotel. there should be free fast and reliable intenrnet in all rooms. tv also should have english channels.

Most importantly, the location was excellent - in the middle of the 2 ends of the old town. It's slightly closer to the Lutherhaus and Melanchthonhaus than the Schloßkirche (castle church). As we were there during the non-peak season, we paid an unbeatable price and got upgraded to a bigger room. Staff were not calculative, gave us late check-out, extra bed and cot (as stated in policy on booking.com) without hesitation. Room looked bare but actually had everything we needed. Didn't look lavish but clean and comfortable. Served its purpose to a tee. 7 euro for parking was not too exorbitant considering its location and underground private parking, although I can't imagine how they could hold that many cars during the peak season.

Not a big deal, but the connection was rather slow. Another guest had to stay in the lobby because his wireless didn't work.

The hotel was clean and bright and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had plenty of space and was clean. A good breakfast was included in the price. The location was good in terms of distance to the city centre.

That exactly how it has to be.

Room not ready on time but apart from this the room was large and comfortable and the staff helpful as was the manager who apologised for the delay. Hotel restaurant had only a limited menu but breakfast was excellent.

Being from the USA I was comforted by the excellent English speaking desk clerks. They help us schedule a taxi for our return to the train station and plan our agenda for Wittenberg. The accommodations were very nice and comfortable; actually quite roomy. The breakfast was superb. The price was a great value. I will recommend Luther-Hotel to my friends.

Even though the hotel was not on the 'main drag', it was an easy walk to all points of interest.

The Hotel is quite centrally located to everything. Staff were very friendly and some were able to speak a little english. Breakfast was plentiful.

I was a little disappointed that wifi only worked downstairs, otherwise no complaints.

The room was comfortable, the facilities were good for the price. It was close to the confrernece venue and the town was very interesting. Most staff spoke good English, which was important as my German is very limited. Breakfast was good - good choices, good quality and quantity. The conference event meal and reception held there was excellent - a wide variety of food and very tasty.

Some staff were "stiff" and functional rather than friendly but dealt with what mattered. The dining room menu was very limited. Having to use the internet in the public area in the reception was not as helpful as many other places where there is an in-room service.

hotel was hot with no air flow. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

A well run city hotel. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant, which at 25 euros per person, was good value.

We had to wait for 45 minutes to get a table for breakfast as there was a very large party in. I think the hotel could have foreseen this problem and opened up another room more quickly.

The dinner was a good experience

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Suuuuper Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ...und wenn man schon mal in Wittenberg ist, dann sollte es eben Luther sein. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, Markt, Kirche etc. alles nur 5 Gehminuten

Super Service - gute Stimmung - sehr gutes Essen

Eenvoudig, goed hotel, goed gerenoveerd, maar niet zo sfeervol.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit guter Ausstattung.Tiefgarage etc. Schönes sauberes Zimmer und freundliches Personal. Schön zentral gelegen und gut zu erreichen.

Vi var en gruppe prester på studietur i Martin Luthers fotspor. Til dette formålet var hotellet helt utmerket, med gunstig beliggenhet, god standard i forhold til pris, og hyggelig personale.
