The hotel’s pub features a delightful terrace, and is open daily from 11:00 until 23:00.
The trendy hotel bar is open from Monday to Saturday, from 17:30 until 01:30. Happy hour is between 17:30 and 19:00.
Further attractions close to Gelsenkirchen include the Starlight Express musical in nearby Bochum, and the Movie Park Germany (theme park) in Bottrop-Kirchhellen.

The room was clean and comfortable. We got a room on the 14th floor and the view was beautiful. Located in a very quiet place. The cost of the room was very expensive (134€) and they did not include the breakfast. They were charging 17€ per person for breakfast, very expensive. At least they could have give us a cup of coffee for that price. |

The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant served very good meals. The location was within walking distance to downtown and there was a nice walking path to get some fresh air. The exercise room was recently converted into a Spa. The information on the web stated that the exercise room was still there. |

We selected the Maritim because it was advertised as having a complete exercise facility. When we arrived, we foujnd out that it had been converted into a spa with no exercise equipment. We will not stay again at your hotel, as exercise is an important part of our daily regimen. |

Das Hotel entspricht einem Standart einer Jugendherberge aber keinesfalls einem Maritim im 4 Sterne Segment man würde gut daran tun das Hotel abzureisen und neu zu bauen, da der Zustand der Zimmer bezogen auf deren Ausstattung katastrophal ist. |

Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung und sauber, aber das ist ja auch zu erwarten. Wir haben am Hotel keinen Parkplatz bekommen und die Suche danach war stressig nach 500 Kilometer fahrt. Das Personal sagte uns, daß nicht genügend Parkplätze vorhanden sind. Im Öffentlichen Parkhaus kamen so nochmal 15,- Eur. zu dem hohen Zimmerpreis dazu. Im Frühstücksrestaurant wurde der Blick zum Stadtpark getrübt durch schmutzige Fensterbänke. |

Schöne Lage am Stadtgarten und dennoch sehr gute Anbindung an den ÖPNV. Freundliches Personal und hilsbereites, schöner Empfangsbereich. Von Außen hat das Hotel schon bessere Tage gesehen. Sauberkeit im Bad (unter dem Waschbecken) war nicht vorhanden. Im Zimmer könnte mit geringem Aufwand eine Aufwertung stattfinden. Schwarze Streifen von Koffern oder Schuhen an der Tapete, Risse an der Zimmerdecke, Balkon ungepflegt. Keine Sitzgelegenheit auf dem Balkon. Eine Bar ist im Haus, dort erhält man aber leider keine Cocktails. |

Die Rezeptionsmitarbeiter waren von Anfang an sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auf Nachfrage haben wir umgehend Informationen zur Nahverkehrsanbindung erhalten. Das Gesamtambiente ist stimmig und die Hotelbar ist einfach wundervoll! |

Empfang, Architektur des Hauses, auch wenn die Fassade bereits etwas am Bröckeln war, Frühstücksbuffet, Sauberkeit sehr niedrige Decken, dadurch schlechtes Raumgefühl, abgewohnte Zimmer - gerade was das Badezimmer betrifft, aber auch die Einrichtung mit abgenutzten Möbeln, für die gebotene Qualität ein wenig zu teuer |

Als ehemaliger Gelsenkirchener kannte ich das Haus u.a. von einer Familienfeier. Ich schätze die zentrale Lage. Zimmer in Ordnung. Gutes Essen im Pub. Flatterbänder am Balkon - ich nehme an wegen der Tauben. |
