The Media bistro serves a selection of snacks, sandwiches and drinks. The bistro is open daily from 12:00 until 22:00.
The Checkpoint bar offers exotic cocktails, refreshing beers, fine wines and live music.

The Maritim’s excellent public transport links make all of Berlin’s most popular attractions easily accessible. These include the Alexanderplatz square, Checkpoint Charlie, the Museum Island and the Potsdamer Platz entertainment district.

They did not have our reservation. We were nowhere in their system. I had a hard copy of our booking.com confirmation and with that they supplied us a room. However, they clearly indicated that if a room was not available, we would be out of luck since the reservation never appeared in their system. |

Very good location, you can visit most important sites/museums by foot from the hotel. Very clean and comfortable hotel. The service in the breakfast room has not been 100%. A polite request to replenish the milk (was empty) close to the muesli stand was neglected or took very long time. And this two days in a row. Most other people in hotel were very friendly en helpful. |

Frühstücksbüffet, Lage des Hotels Obwohl Weihnachten war, kein Schokolädchen oder eine andere winzige Aufmerksamkeit im Zimmer. Schokolädchen auf dem Kopfkissen gab es noch im Jahr 2007 und 2008, obwohl nicht einmal Feiertage waren. Fazit: nachlassende Aufmerksamkeit |

Die Lage in der Friederichstraße (Berlin Mitte) ist super. Das Restaurant ist sehr eng, dunkel und unschön. Manches ist alt und nicht mehr richtig funktionsfähig (z.B. die 3 läppischen Fitnessgeräte im Keller oder der Safe in unserem Zimmer). Die Coacktails in der Bar sind völlig überteuert und nicht besonders gut. Über die Ästhetik des Interieurs lässt sich streiten (ich fand besonders die Gänge eng, niedrig viel zu bunt und old fashioned). |

Das freundliche und hilsbereite Personal am Empfang Das Personal welches die Zimmer gereinigt hat. Trotz Karte: "Bitte nicht stören" ist das Reinigungspersonal ins Zimmer gekommen und hat mit dem Hotelgast diskutiert weil dieser ungestört sein wollte. |
