Hotel needs a bit of TLC

Very nice location and old-styled hotel but with much charme. Very close to the Hbf so real good connection for travelling. Room had a muldy smell when entering in the old-fashioned designed room, but accomodation and quality of bed was ok.

Prices of breaktfast a bit exagerated, even a cup of tea for more then 4,50 € but they do have a nice offer for lunch.

The faded elegance appealed, room was quite spacious.

Breakfasts were fine but at 19 euros, a bit overpriced. Not as good as the breakfast at the Maritim Berlin.

Great location and good value for money

Hotel corridors need to be tidied up. Skirting boards need painting.

The only thing good about this hotel is its location (near main train station).

Staff was very unfriendly, unpolite and not very keen to help. Price of the breakfast is too high for what you get: wide choice, but not quality of the food, and certainly not freshness. Almost cold coffee, ice cold fruits (from the can), in the middle of December, dry bread etc. Single room was too small, dusty, furniture is obviously very old. Bathroom is not for commenting, maybe deserves one star but four stars certainly not. And especially stupid thing is internet. On the site, it's not written that it has to be paid. When I entered the room, I found short confusing instruction how to connect but it didn't work, of course. Then I asked at the reception, they told me I had to pay 8 eur for 1 hour or 15 eur for 1 day to use wifi. Ridiculous!!! Maybe 30 years ago this hotel deserved 4 stars, but not anymore!! I Wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!!

The location being next to the Hauptbahnhof

If staying in a room at the back of the hotel, it is noisy outside at night, making sleep difficult

Location, Lobby, Bar

Bed was probably the worst experience I have ever had in a Hotel anywhere. The springs were so old that the bed was concave.

Very close to the Main Railway station and to the main shopping streets. Good breakfast, very friendly staff. Clean rooms.

Very cold rooms. We got an opinion that they turned off the central heating during the daytime at all + opened all windows in the room while we were absent. Rather impossible to even take a shower in such a frosty bath.

This very old hotel desperately needs updating. Carpet totally worn out, dirty in appearance. Small out of date TV. Not what I expect from a Maritim, unless their standards have changed.

The Maritim Hotel Reichshof is perfectly situated just oposite the Central train station. You can take the subway or train directly to the "Messehallen" Exhibition halls or any other destination. Walk through the train station and you are on the Mönkebergstrasse, the largest shopping area of hamburg ! The double windows in the room ensure that you don't hear anything from the busy trafic and they can still open for ventilation.

The hotel is dated and realy needs some work done. The rooms are old, furniture is not realy looking very clean anymore, but the beds are clean and fairly decent. Also, there is no decent AC or ventilation in the room which makes them a bit musky.

The Sauna and Spa is nice. The location just at the train station is very comfortable.

The hotel is a little bit outdated. No free WiFi provided

The rooms are too old fashioned and a little bit gloomy.

They need to get with it and supply Wifi in the rooms. For a business person it is no longer an option not to have internet access in one's room. I would not stay at this hotel again unless Wifi was available. That would be the only reason for not staying there.All other facilities were quite adequate for me as a business traveller

Nice hotel, rooms have à great square footige. Right across Hamburg Central and of walking distance to THE shopping district.

I like this old hotel very much and have stayed there many times over the years the first time in 1980 with my parents.

the Miss Germany-like blue-eyed blonde young woman at the check-in desk --clear, precise, excellent language skills -- very professional nice bath tub breakfast selection and service was wunderschon

No one was able to connect me to AT & T operator for an international credit calling card to call California -- it was a bit frustrating I finally got it after 15 minutes. Should have been better effort by the young man at your reception
