Quiet & good a/c, very comfortable bed. Outstanding breakfast. Very convenient to/from the main train station where there are lots of late-night takeaway food options.
Neighborhood is a little seedy.
The location, rooms (everything in the room ).
They had limited number of extra pillows. We had to wait 2 days in the waiting list for a pillow.
The internet was great. The staff friendly. Rooms clean.
There was a lot of trash outside the entrance. The street entrance had very scary looking people and not as clean as one would think for Germany. The luggage did not have a room, but staff was stumbling over suitcases behind the desk and really did not seem like a thing a top level hotel would want guests to see! I am sure the staff finds it very hard to work stumbling over suitcases and luggage of all sizes. The bar staff was very friendly (Not) and the guy playing the piano was good, but not once did he engage with guests or ask "what would you like to hear" it was if he was isolated in his own world. He had no performance skills.
Very conveniently located for the main station. Room was clean, comfortable and toiletries were supplied. Breakfast is expensive but also extensive. Staff are efficient and friendly.
Although the location is very convenient for the station, the area is not appealing and I would not recommend it as a hotel for a sightseeing trip to Munich especially if you are a solo traveller.
I booked this hotel in a rush as I had to travel to Munich on short notice. Based on the existing rating 7.7, I was not sure whether my experience will be alright but anyway booked it because of the excellent location. But after spending more than a week at Maritim Munich, I felt that this hotel deserved a better rating (more than 8.5 for sure) as their staff, service, facilities, location and my whole experience at the hotel was way better than expected and was fantastic!
Very close to the train station.
Close to the station, staff very helpful and courteous
No tea making facilities in my room, stained carpet
Excellent rooms and staff
Location by Bahnhof was convenient, but construction near entrance was unsightly. Once there the place was excellently appointed and staffed.
The quiet courtyard setting despite being just 2 blocks from the main station.
The pillows were flat. We had to ask for additional ones. Also the towels were pretty skimpy both in number and in thickness.
Silent air conditionning Nice bathroom Good restaurant
No freeware wlan Bad reception for mobile phone
Hotel is clean , wide room & toilete, 5 minute walk to central train station, freindley staff, fast room service
There is no free wifi internet in maritim hotel comparing to other hotels which are Free Wifi
Modern refit means rooms very nice with great bathrooms.Excellent location.Very good breakfast.
No in house wifi.At this price they should provide free wifi. Of 6 hotels I stayed in in major cities in Austria/Germany on this trip the Maritim is the only one which did not provide free wifi. Street just outside hotel is rather seedy but really nothing hotel can do about that
The hotel was good, as were the rooms. Although the room was very small and since I had to work in my room it was not very convenient. We did not use the restaurant other than for breakfast which was very good.
What I think is rediculous for a hotel this size, is that there is no decent WIFI and that you have to addditional pay for it.
Location.Excellent breakfast .Small water glasses in room
No Wi fi
First room on 6th floor was having a really bad smell, second was having old noisy AC, dirty mouldy bathroom. Looks like good fares via Booking.com end up with a room in the last non refurbished floor. breakfast way to expensive for the coice an quality. never gain!
- When we called the hotel before booking; one of the male receptionist informed us that Comfort Double Rooms have also king size double bed and due to this info we booked one (it is also obviously mentioned in Booking.com room details that the room has 1 extra-large double bed). However when we arrived to the hotel; we figured out that all the comfort double rooms have two separated single beds. The answer we get from the unkind receptionist lady was; the receptionist we talked on the phone was an intern and gave us a wrong info. Finally they gave us a small single room with a small double bed because they have a real double bed only in single rooms but anyway we paid double room price which is absolutely unfair! If you are a couple, be sure that your room has two separated beds which is so uncomfortable - There are so many discursive homeless people around the hotel which is obnoxious. - Parking is so expensive which is 18 Euro per day.
The location was very convenient and the staff were helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was too expensive and the bed pillows were very poor quality.
The recently redecorated room was very good, and we always choose a hotel with a pool, which was clean at all times.
Overall impression of the hotel let down by poor value for money for the breakfast and poor attitude of the serving staff. We have been to many Maritims and breakfasts are always very good being one of the reasons we choose the chain. In Munich the quality did not match the price and all the staff were interested in was clearing the food away as it approached 10.30 and getting customers out as soon as possible. Next time we may look at other hotels as being able to breakfast in the hotel is important to us.
1)Room is special enough. 2)Bed size is big enough.
1)Airconditioner is noisy. 2)Room had better to be light. a little bid too dark.
Hotel Maritim is conveniently located near the main train terminal in Munich. It also is located near many restaurants.
They were doing construction on the hotel while I was there. And when it wasn't that, the housekeeping was banging around making lots of noise. I have never stayed in a hotel that was louder than this and I wasn't able to get any sleep, it ruined my vacation. Also the pillows and bed were uncomfortable. Even though it was conveniently located, it was next to a few strip clubs and sex shops, hardly a place to bring your family to. I would NOT recommend this hotel. EVER. DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE!
The location was excellent - an easy walk from the station. This hotel was quite a surprise - very nice modern rooms, comfortable bed, excellent buffet breakfast and dinner served. Staff were very pleasant and we would stay there again!
Extra pillows, wi fi availability not great.
Repair works are in process in the hotel. The reception first gives you old and unrepaired room. It is necessary to request to change the room yourself. After cleaning the room was still not enough clean. A lot of dust everywhere on furniture. No replace of shampoo and bath gel.
Location The housekeeping staff were great.
The arrogant and unhelpful attitude of the Reception staff. The very average food in the dining room. The hard beds with one very flat pillow. The cost of laundry and the adjustment of the classification of our laundry items to suit themselves at a greater cost to us. Ie, long sleeved undershirts were deemed to be pullovers. This was at an increased cost of 3 Euro per item. The hotel staff refused to discuss it.
The only advantage is location in cenral part of the city and close to central railway station.
Since many years there have beetn no investment. All equipment and facilites are overaged: old and worn out. Staff is not attentive. Rooms, towels etc. are dirty.
