We felt welcome and the hotel has a certain charm
The traffic - it wasn't possible to sleep with an open window
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the decor of the hotel was quite charming. Diessen is a great location — close to Munich, but also a great launch pad for other day trips in Bavaria. The bed was comfy, too.
Lots of traffic noise... should have guessed by the ear plugs that were provided on each nightstand. Also, it was almost impossible to keep water from leaking out of the shower.
From Munich about 50min-1hr to drive, nice breakfast and room . Don't check in too late if you can, not easy to find in the dark , no elevator , nice breakfast.
We stayed here primarily as an in-between point during our travels. The location ended up being very pretty in it's own right and worth spending some time exploring the area (if you like cute towns with a lake nearby). The loft apartment was large and well equipped kitchen (only some minor exceptions below). Although we had to call the woman upon arrival, she came in less than 5 minutes and was helpful and pleasant.
Fridge did not have even a tiny freezer so we could not buy ice cream or store meat. Was very bright and sunny early in the morning as there were no shades to close on the top windows.
The location was good. We were cycling so being in the centre of town was advantageous The breakfast was nutritious , continental and fresh , and there was plenty to chose from
The only downside was that we could not check in untill 6pm. Fortunately there is an excellent ice cream shop close by The building is obviously historical and probably has covenants restriction renovation , hence the "creaky " floors . Adds character....
great staff, good location, interesting interior design, nice breakfast, overall great boutique hotel/b&b
room a bit noisy by the street, internet slow
The bad rooms are individually decorated - we had the tiger room, so very quirky. Average B and B breakfast, fresh food, served in nice room. Friendly reception. Good location. Historic building. Hotel has their own beach area 2 kilometres away which is very pretty and quiet, great for the summer, and near an excellent lakeside restaurant.
Entrance at the back into a cellar like hall was very atmospheric but the back door area is off putting. Lovely old building but the creaking floorboards are noisy and the old windows don't shut out traffic noise. That said, there was little traffic at night so we slept well. A little overpriced for what is really a B and B.
