Outstanding SPA

The combination of a spacious apartment room and full access to the Spa facilities was excellent and made a good overnight break in a long journey. Be aware this is a fully naked mixed Spa.

If you do not know Cologne, be sure to get a good map or trust your gps implicitly; we are talking narrow one-way streets here, with little/no direct parking at the hotel itself.

Spa facilities are the best we have experienced in the region, especially the Sauna treatments....wow when they swing those towels around you had better be prepared for the heat! Be aware everything is aux naturelle but if you are comfortable with that then this place is so relaxing it is incredible. Plus remember you can use the facility the day you check in until midnight if you wish and then the day you check out too until midnight....a pretty good deal

Car parking is very sparse in the area and yo really can't park up until you have checked in and got a map to the location, but a minor irritant on arrival...when you leave you really won't care less such will be the levels of relaxation!

It was a no-noncense hotel. Maybe a little simpler than I used to for business tripps but it was located very nearby where I needed to go. Good sports facilities with spa/therem and saunas. Friendly personel

The spa was really big, and the heated pool outside was lovely. A very nice experience in the spa.

The hotel itself didn't seem to match the quality of the spa. Room decor was not so nice and halways were a bit rundown.

The spa was really nice, a wide diversity of saunas and jaccuzzis, with very long opening hours. There are sauna sessions organised by the staff every hour, which allows to experience a differente kind of sauna (antique, japananese, etc). Breakfast was very nice as well, and rather cheap considering that the buffet offer was fairly good.

While the room was clean and the furniture OK, it doesn't deserve to be rated as a 4 stars: there was no amenities in the bathroom, and not even tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom, which we found really disappointed for the standard of the hotel. Besides, we had to rent a "spa package" as there were no bathrobes in the room, while we had chosen the best room available, so we wonder what was the value of the deluxe room as there was no extra service compare to a basic room.

It was an adequate hotel, providing a bed and shower.

Despite booking a room in the main hotel, I was given an "apartment" that required me to walk around the outside of the building with my luggage to reach it -- given the poor weather in Cologne at the moment, this wasn't particularly enjoyable. The apartment building itself was poorly presented and the corridors reminded me of those found in uk council flats. The apartment itself was ok, but really just a marginally larger room -- not really worth calling an apartment at all. The location of the hotel was poor for me, but due to a conference at Koelnmesse I didn't have much choice. The hotel was overpriced in my opinion.

great Spa and poolls

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Area and hotel itself was quiet and relaxed. One minor gripe was that you had to hire slippers if you wanted to use the pool. I know this is commonplace in spa hotels but it just seemed to much of a hassle.

Some of the staff were excellent and helpful some not so good.

There was a mix up when we arrived; the receptionist told us only one room had been booked, not two, but this was quickly rectified. We did not have rooms but had apartments and this was unexpected. Although the apartments were very nice, the instructions on how to get there were not clear and we had to return to the hotel for further instructions. I would have prefered to stay inside the building and not have to walk outside to the apartments or at least to have a member of staff to direct us there. The apartment smelt of tobacco and I asked for a non smoking room. There was no kettle in the room.
