MEININGER Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof  

The hotel is basic but modern and spotlessly clean. It is right next to the main railway station, enabling a quick and easy arrival and departure. Also, just 10 mins walk from the Brandenburg Gate. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Only drawback is the late check-in - not before 3pm.

It operates as a hostel and therefore it should name itself as hostel and not hotel. Meininger Hostel would be correct but Meininger Hotel is misrepresentation!

The staff were great! Very close to train station and walking distance to go sightseeing. Easily to find food in the hotel or at the train station 2 minutes away.

is located just beside the train station so might be noisy for some people. I am fine with it. The wireless will be better if we could use it from the room.

The location of the hotel was very central. Rooms and breakfast were okay.

Great location , opposite berlin main train station . clean , modern . the room was set up with wi fi , convenient switching . loved the fantastic breakfast . just what a traveller needs . would recommend to anyone to stay here

Excellent location, and the room was very cheap. The room was basic but exactly what you need for a cheap city break the shower room was very clean and modern. If you are looking for somewhere cheap but clean and modern I can't recommend this place enough. Also location is fantastic for the price, it was right next to the main train station in Berlin and within walking distance of the Bundestag and the Brandenburg Gate.

There are very few parking places, we were very lucky to get one as it was the only space that came available during our entire stay there. Check out is only 10:00 but I was impressed by the option of a €5 late check out option allowing you to stay until 13:00 but was disappointed that although we only had one room, if we wanted the late check out option we had to pay €5 for each person in our group (4) which seemed a bit crazy.

Too small bedroom,bathroom and very crowded visitors so some day there was lack of towels , no drinking water in the room.

Well thought out concept - everything necessary a tourist needs was there, including excellent location. Reichstag can be seen from room windows, it is only a 5-8 minute walk away and it is a nice walk across a pedestrian bridge over the river. The Brandenburg Tor is 2 minutes from Reichstag.You can also reach these two via underground line u55 from Hauptsbanhof. As far as getting there when arriving at Hauptsbanhof it should be stressed - leave the train station via Washington Platz exit and look right: you'll see it is only some 50 meters away. If you leave the station via Europa Platz exit the story can be way longer.

Price versus Quality. Very central location and a nice package deal for bike rental and breakfast.

It is a busy hotel and some groups of younger people can be a little noisy.
