MEININGER Hotel Hamburg City Center

Facilidad de acceso, mobiliario nuevo, bajo precio y es ideal para los viajes en grupo.

Sólo un ascensor lo que ocasionaba colas.

El hotel lo abrieron el dia 1 de abril. Por lo que estaba perfecto, tipo Ikea. Alquilamos 2 habitaciones de 6 (eramos 9). Habia separación entre las dos literas y la cama doble, lo que da más intimidad. El baño está separado de la ducha lo que ayuda mucho cuando viajas en grupo. Y además las habitaciones tenian un gran ventanal con vista a un parque.

Lo unico destacable es que el desayuno-buffet no estuviera incluido en el precio, y que aunque abundante no se salia de lo normal. (Nota para el viajero: El café alemán es más aguado que el español/italiano)

The hotel is very nice it not looking like a nice hotel from outside but whe you coming in you realise that you in the wright place . the staff is very friendly the room is big with a big window and alot of light. the bathroom is big . the breakfast is good . free internet if you have your own laptop (in the lobby only). rail station jast 5 min walking from the hotel

The room was very clean and a great size for a family of 5. Staff was extremely helpful with directions and advice. This worked great for us.

The hotel is really a hostel for younger people. It is new and has modern infrastructure. The staff at the desk are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good for this class of hotel. I have read other criticisms here, but remember the Meininger is not 4 star hotel. Despite the criticism I have written below, I found the hostel concept was good and well implemented. Just remember it is a good hostel with mostly young customers - this should be your expectation.

The biggest problem was the noise in the night. We had a room above the entrance so people were talking / laughing below until 2:00 in the morning. One night we had some male laughing hyena who came back with a group at 5:00. It probably depends on who is staying. The last 2 nights were reasonably quiet after 1:00 am. My tip - take well fitting earplugs. 2n point the lift was completely overloaded. Fortunately the youthful customers keep fit on the stairs. 3rd point: room wasn't ready when we arrived at 16:00. Even after cleaning the floor was still a bit grubby. One of the beds was not made. We called the cleaning lady, who said we would have to do this ourselves because it was the higher bunk bed and she was too small, so this was our job

Nice building, but further nothing.

Staff was rude. Parking garage is uncomfortable. Waited 10 minutes for the lift (no exaggeration) to get out of the parking garage, which was not connected with the lobby by the stairs. Gave it up, left the parking place through the car exit and entered the lobby from the main entrance. The breakfast consists of chemicals. Orange juice is made from powder, cereal tastes like carton and they serve liquid tar for coffee. Check out before 10 is rather uncomfortable, especially if you arrive late in the evening.

The room was spacious and clean. There was a Guest kitchen where you could prepare simple meals, a microwave and also a refrigerator.

Very nice and big room with train station behind the hotel which only take 10 mins to the City centre.
