Very cheap hotel served well by underground trains. They didn't mention that free WiFi is only in the hotel hall, in the rooms you have to pay for that.

The receptionist is very kind. And this hotel is located near a railway station, so the transportation is convenient. The more persons stay in one room, the cheaper the price is. The maximum number of person in one room is 6.

Excellent price and location. Free internet (Only on Leisure area). We manage to book a 6 bead room just for us 6 with a inclusive wc. In all I recommend it. We have to make our own beds when we arrived. You have to pay for a towel. Free internet only on the Leisure area (Next door to the hostel). Artificial orange juice in breakfast. No safes in the room.

Very low price for accommodation. It was very convenient as we were traveling like a small group of five people and lived all together in a one room + we had private bathroom. Sounds of S-Bahn in the early morning.

Cheap, good location, 5 mins walk from the U-bahn, supermarket and several fastfood restaurants nearby. The railway goes just outside the window so its a bit noisy if you open the window. Sleeping with closed windows wasn't a problem though.

Helpful staff, good breakfasts, good location. The lounge area looked a bit uninviting to me but I am over 50 and it would probably be fine for someone younger. I didn't use the KItchen, but that didn't look too inviting either, but I wasn't planning to cook anyway.

Good straightforward hostel accomodation. Comfy beds, decent size bathroom. Staff helpful and good location, near 2 underground and 1 train station. The curtain in our room was only half size, so it only came halfway down the window! Not good as it was groundfloor and overlooked the carpark, so anyone could look in! Fortunately we had a spare duvet in the room as it was an 8 bed room for 5 of us, so we folded it up on the windowsill, and didnt bother to complain. Also the curtain had 'mysterious' white stains all over it!!

The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was facing the street, railway and canal - so it was quite noisy. I also expected a single/ double room instead of a hostel room of 2 bunks and 2 beds.

Size of room is for 8 people to stay. General cleaning through out the whole stay. The staff at the hotel are terrible. Short worded, ignoring customer at waiting. In once case, I was the only person at the reception, two staff just kept chatting for 5min and ignoring me, until I was almost shouting to get their attention. I realize it's also a youth hostel, many young people come as a group and it can be very busy at certain point. But I booked for a double bedroom and paid for a hotel price. The level of service just so poor, make never wanna go back.

Friendly and helpful staff, super clean rooms. Everything was basic and functional - no complaints, enjoyed my stay! Tiny, tiny towels, a little noise through the door from the other guests, and the beds have a foot-board which will annoy you if you are taller than six feet and like to stretch out.

Meininger Hotel Berlin Hallesches Ufer is a nice, simple hotel/hostel. It was really convient that we could park our car for free at the site. The hotel staff are really friendly and could help us a lot with recommending sightseeing places and other questions as well. It's a clean hotel/hostel in a nice area with good public transportation (subway) access. Its just a few stops from the centre and sightseeing places.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. we wanted to visit berlin, so we were in the city all the time. we just wanted the hotel for shower and sleep. the water was hot, the heat was ok and there was no noise during our stay. that's why this hotel was perfect for us. moreover, the city map we took from the reception was very helpful. we had only this map and was ok for us to go wherever we wanted.

“Excellent location and comfortable clean rooms make this hotel very good value for money. It's a busy place so reception area and breakfast can be a hectic affair, plenty of school groups when we stayed. Staff very good. We would be pleased to stay again, the super new train station with it's many facilities began to feel like a part of the hotel, it's that close.” Elisabeth, Mallemort |
