The attentiveness and willing to help of the reception staff, the deluxe rooms are very large at size. The hotel is located at the city center, near the train station, the lake and the shopping streets. |

very convenient location in Konstanz, breakfast was good though not more than you would expect for the high cost, whole place had an authentic aura of faded grandeur. Hotel staff went out of their way to make up reasons not to process a standard military VAT exemption form from a US national (which would have saved me 19% off the room price, but cost the hotel nothing) - though they admitted that they routinely handle VAT exemption forms for other foreign national guests. Excuses ranged from "you are not authorized VAT exemption" (despite presentation of all the appropriate documents and the existence of an international agreement between the US and Germany that says I am), to "we could have done this, but cannot because you booked through an online booking service" (which I know is wrong from experience). At best, it was simply lazy, uninspired service. At worst, it was malicious discrimination. |

Absolutt verdt å bruke noen euro på å oppgradere rommet til superior. Da kommer AC og boblebad :-) Rommene var store, om dog litt gameldags stil. (Amerikansk). I recomend to upgrade your room to a superior room. Gives you AC and jacuzzi. Large rooms, good and englishspeaking staff. The restaurant looked very nice, but we did`nt eat there this time. Good menu! Check the minibar, no cleaning there.. The staff charged us for breakfast, but we did not eat there. When I told them this, they removed it from the bill without any questions, and that is good. |

I love how professional the staff carried themeselves and the courtesy displayed towards the guest. Educate the staff on the us vat form. This is the form the us millitary and civilians use to not pay the 19% tax. |

Service was truly excellent, particularly at reception but also in the breakfast room The restaurant had a limited and overly expensive menu and was not at all inviting as well as being completely empty. This was a pity as we found it quite difficult to find good food in the streets nearby and would have gladly used the restaurant had the ambience and menu been beter. |

The Hotel was lovely and conveniently located, taking only 5 minutes to get to the boats and old town. It was also next door to a McDonalds which had free internet. Our room was on the second floor facing a busy street but there was no noise in the room, maybe because it was hot out and we kept the air conditioning on. The room was large, comfortable and nicely furnished. It was more like two rooms with a couch, chair, desk, and closet in the next room but there was no door between the bedroom and this living area. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. We would have liked a higher room to see the lake. Internet was ridiculously high. |
