Mercure Stuttgart City Center  

The hotel staff wanted to charge me other rates than those agreed via booking.com. They finall applied the booking.com deal.

Staff at the loby area is excellent . On the contrary staff of the reception is very poor .

Reception staff are not interest to offer required services even small thiings .

I really feel I got value for money. I'm becoming a fan of the Mercure chain. The hotel is 10 - 15 minute walk from the central station, and the city center is just a few minutes drive by cab. The staff were incredibly down-to-earth, friendly and very helpful.

When I checked in, I went to my room, opened the door, and found some random guy passed out on one of the beds. It didn't really bother me because the look on the receptionist's face was priceless when I told her. It was an accident on her part and she immediately changed my room with much apology and embarrassment. The situation was comical, but I can see how this would upset some people.

The location is very convenient. It takes only 3 minutes walk to the nearest underground station and 20 minutes walk to the Hauptbahnhof i.e. a main shopping area of the city. The room was very clean and quiet.

We asked a bottle of still water but it was never sent to our room. When checking in, the reception told us that we can have breakfast the next morning but they did not reminded us anything about the extra charge.

Good 3 Star hotel - excellent value for money

Need a better system tp cancel reservations against credit card - to long and difficult to cancel

Nice hotel (referring strictly to the building).

Terrible staff attitude. We have booked 3 nights, 1 package for 2 nights and 1 package for 1 night. At the beginning they couldn't find our second reservation, we've been told that there is no reservation. Finally, they have found it, we have paid up front for 3 nights and after 2 days,they didn't remember. We were forced to change the room because: "an important customer is coming and he always stays in that room". The receptionist shows no respect for us during our stay. A shame for the Mercure Hotel chain.

I liked the service best, the staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was quick and efficient.

I was a little disappointed that there were no tea making facilites in the room and only a shower, no bath.
