This hotel occupies a historic, half-timbered house in Hamelin’s historic quarter. The Hotel La Principessa offers rooms individually furnished in a Mediterranean style.
Score from 93 reviews Very good
Breakfast quite good
Room extremely small Reported plug socket not working but not repaired Shower not draining correctly Staff a bit dismissive of problems Room hot probably due to size For the price I would have expected more. Needs to be re priced in my opinions
No tea or coffee making facility in room.
Room. Breakfast . Friendly staff and location was great .
Limited on site parking . Arrangements in place with nearby public parking but this was not that clearly communicated .
its simply the best
nice breakfast service, cleanliness
no working refrigirator in a room, not working AC, uncomfortable pillows, not possible to use staircase, only one lift working
Location right next to Aldstadt Superb swim before breakfast Beautiful breakfast on the terrace Staff were extremely friendly Room & Hotel was pristine Solid nights sleep Each room has a balcony
No coffee facilities in room
Great location just a few minutes walk from the old town through a lovely park. We stayed in a number of hotels in Germany but this is now our favourite. The staff are very smiley and helpful.
Parking was difficult
All Staffs are very kind and helpful and room is clean and tidy then very goo point is clsoe to the center
Restaurant staff were brilliant
During our stay the hotel became a building site when all the windows in hallway on all floors were being replaced. After my complaint about the seven o'clock start they were told not start until nine. Spoiled by an other excellent hotel
Great location not far from the centre of town. The room was nice, with a comfy bed and balcony looking out over the town garden. We really enjoyed the self-service breakfast, which had everything and more to choose from!
We obviously stayed at the hotel during a time when building work was being carried out. We were rudely awoken by extensive drilling at 7:50am the first morning and 8:15am the following morning! As a courtesy, it would have been nice to have been told about this during the booking process
The location: a park in front, cross the park is the center of the old town. The price include breakfast even though my room was no meal option with it. Free parking in front of the hotel.
Good food,staff helpful.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms and Air con or Fans would help.
Location; the efficiency, helpfulness and courtesy of staff, all the facilities and in particular the restaurant, a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, an excellent and obviously well-managed hotel.
A couple of evenings were extremely warm, unfortunately the rooms are not air conditioned.
Excellent located in the centre of Hameln, close to shops, museum and restaurants.
The staff and the wonderful breakfast
Comfort of bed
We always stay at the Mercure Hameln when we travel to Germany. The location is great and the hotel perfect for both business and leisure travel.
Parking is a nightmare. There is only around 10 free spaces at the front of the hotel which are always full. The only other parking is in an underground car park a good 10 or more minutes walk away from the hotel which is expensive and a pain when you have two cars, lots of luggage and young children. Perhaps they could make the spaces in front of the hotel for families with young children? This would be very helpful. This isnth third time I have have stayed at this hotel and despite asking for a non smoking room each time, each time the room smelt of stale smoke. Disgusting. Not going back to this hotel next time I am in town.
Very modern, very clean, simply decorated room. Fantastic breakfast with lots of choice and constantly topped up with fresh food.
Spa with sauna and pool, hotel just near old town but quite. Good view from sauna.
Pool has a bad smell.
No tea /coffe in room
Internet was bad
The manner of all staff was perfect.
The breakfast buffet was superb! Free parking directly at the entrance of the hotel. Very near from the city centre.
The room was very small for a "big" family (two children and a baby).
