Breakfast too expensive for the mediocre quality.
The room was a little tired and in need of a renovation.
Central location easy access to tourist sites and city.
Cost of breakfast quite high
The central location and view of the Rhine, and secure well lit car park.
We booked a superior room, which was the same as the standard room we had on a previous visit, with a few extras thrown in ie bathrobes and expresso coffee maker. Not really value for the extra cost.
no air conditioning restaurant service poor location not great for tourists- only good for business
The location next to the Rhine and the view from the window was really good. It is just walking distance to the town with the Koblenz Schloss just out the front of the hotel. The staff were knowledgeable and courteous.
Have been to a few Mercure hotels. The bedding and towels were poor. The towels felt like rags, it was like the had run out of towels and gave you a little something, but all the towels on the cleaners trolley were all the same. We were 2 adults in the room and there were only 2 tea bags for the 2 nights, they were not replaced after the first night. There was no spoon to stir drinks. The mini bar was a vending machine near the lifts. All these made the inside stay feel more like a hostel.
Price of mornin'cafe
wifi, they try to direct you to a paying service. Only if you call the reception they explain how to get the free wifi (which was rather slow)
Good location, nice views from window
Hotel was a bit jaded, in need of refurbishment.
Great for everyone going to the "Rhein Mosel Halle" for an event, for example. Just 10 minutes walking to city center.
Close to river cruise departure. In-house restaurant was a plus because there were no other eating places nearby.
Front desk staff acted put out to be helpful. Didn't know anything about river cruises--surprising since one departs close by.
Pascal and Bettina were extraordinary in helping us to secure a second night at the hotel when our plans changed due to circumstances beyond our control.
Most of the staff were really helpful and courteous. WIFI connection was perfect in the rooms. Free internet access in the ground floor section was perfect. Free mini-bar in levels 9 & 10 premium rooms. View from window was incredible. 15mins walk from main bus & train station.
Considering the room was premium:- One bathrobe & one pair slippers left in room, even after asking, never received second set. Several times had to remind them that the replacement teas etc. had not been replaced. Limited towel changes & bed linen not changed. Bar prices & menu prices expensive compaired to outside restruants and hotels.
Access to all parts f the city, easy walk to main highlights and along the river, view from our room
A little old and tired, pillows were not supportive
Location, cleanliness, quality of the room (we had a river view room on the ninth floor). Reception staff very friendly.
Location and facilities
Neraly everything. Location, efficiency, cleanliness. Good food, near to old town and on the banks of the Rhine. Easy parking.
Breakfast a bit pricey would be my only down.
breakfast and meals
quality of cooling. Mini bar choice insufficient. Traffic noise.
Everything was outstanding, our 2nd year in a row and hopefully back again next year.
Nothing, out whole stay was faultless.
Friendly and efficient staff. has on site parking. Good size rooms and very comfortable rooms.
A bit of a walk to the tourist part of the city.
Staff attitude Willingness to change room / accommodate our young children Wi-fi central location
Expensive breakfast (not included in room price) Road noise Poor natural ventilation in bedroom
view, welcoming people, price, parking...
pretty much nothing
We liked the spaciousness of the rooms and public spaces, and the attentiveness of all the staff. Also the staff were knowledgeable and helpful when dealing with our problems. We had a problem with the safe, which the staff sorted out very promptly.
Two specific things: there was a leak under the shower screen onto the bathroom floor around the toilet. Also the air conditioning was not very effective, in that it did not seem to be possible to regulate the temperature.
The view over the Rhine
The poor service we received at check in and when asking for additional items such as non-lumpy pillows.
It was comfortable for one night.
