Good location, good breakfast, clean room

Very poor sound insulation, you can even hear when your neighbor draw curtains. The personnel at the receptions speaks poor English.

Standard German breakfast is great!

Room size and cleanliness, staff, etc.... basically everything, which is the reason why I changed hotels!

Close to train station. Excellent breakfast and one particularly pleasant, helpful waitress. Pleasant decor through hotel.

Very small room with a single bed which was not comfortable Shower over bath that did not have a movable head and a shower curtain that could not prevent flooding of bathroom floor. No bath mat for slippery bath. Soap and shampoo holder in shower empty. Room not serviced on one occasion. Found reception staff largely unhelpful. Often returned in evening and to find front desk unattended and getting someone to give me key for room difficult. (I don't expect this to be peculiar to the Advena Europa Mainz Hotel but I was taken aback to find that two 20 minute calls to another country cost about as two nights accommodation. Would like to see all hotels give clear warning of cost of calls outside of Germany by the phone.) I doubt if I would recommend the Hotel to other travellers - only thing to really recommend is location if wanting hotel close to railway station. The size of the room with only a small single bed would be the main reason not to recommend.

The hotel is very close to the train station. The breakfast was very good.

The room was not air-conditioned, and even though it was not that hot outside, I was slightly uncomfortable. The church bells nearby can be loud. The reception offered only one hour of free wifi, which in this day and age is unacceptable. I would pass on this hotel in the summer months.

My husband and I stayed at the Advena for one night. The hotel staff was warm, friendly, and multi-lingual. There is always a person at the front desk to assist you. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. My husband and I did not travel with a lap top so it was nice to have a computer to access in the lobby. It is a ten minute walk from the hotel to the main part of town. The train station is right around the corner. The hotel staff was nice enough to let my husband and I check in extremely early. I booked this hotel two nights before our arrival...it was 40 euros cheaper.

Our room was road side so it was a little noisy.

Prima Lage für eine Städtereise. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr freundliches und flexibles Personal.

Das Hotel ist als Tagungshotel völlig ungeeignet - Konferenzraum ohne Fenster, wenig Gruppenräume. Insgesamt wirkt das Hotel etwas heruntergekommen.
