Small suana unfriendly attitude of reception

Following a previous review, I would now like to add, that three weeks after returning home I recieved a further bill where I was charged to my credit card more than the bookings.com rate for the rooms on top of the payment I made on check out without my authority and also charged again for city tax and mini bar bills. As I paid cash for the mini bar and city tax I cannot prove this was previously settled, however the hotel has not made any attempt at resolving charging me more than the agreed rate and more than my final bill on check out. If you do wish to stay in this hotel I would advice that you use a card for payment for traceability and assume you will be paying more than the booking.com rate. The charge you are made after leaving the hotel could be any random amount they decide to take out of your bank account without your authority.

The room was very nice and must more American-styled than you usually see in Germany. It had larger rooms and bathrooms etc. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great- very much worth the 20 or so Euro.

The location in relation to the ski slopes is good.

Not enough parking. Rooms and bathrooms are really small and outdated for this class of rooms. Breakfast was ok, but not great and certainly not work 18Euros. Not worth the price compared with other hotels in the area.

the fact that, hopefully by way of exeption and bad luck the room turned out to be a smoker room, with a window that could not be closed properly and had to be fixed with towels with the heating on full speed agains the draft, the friendly but slightly helpless reaction (no housekeeping on weekends, no alternative room, no other concession, the argument that this was not a dedicated smoker room but just not a non-smoker room), the bottle of water in the room charged at EUR 4.50 and the fact that between showers and sauna water was ponded on larger parts of the floor

The bar and restaurant area are lovely, traditional looking.The rooms were clean.

Completely disappointed. 1) paid for queen size beds and only given doubles. The rooms need a renovation, parts of it are shabby. The beds are against a sideboard on two sides so not good for couples who don't want to climb over each other to get out the bed 2) the bed was hard but somehow managed to sag in the middle. 3) don't go to this hotel if you intend to sleep. Every movement in the corridors can be heard, while outside the snow clearer wakes you up at 4 am, the noise in other rooms with early skiers will keep you awake. Then in the morning at 9 am the staff are vacuuming the corridors so no trying to get a last bit of sleep after no sleep all night. 4) even if you are a resident no food is served after 9:30pm, after asking all staff for even a reduced menu, a sub std apple strudel was possible to be served. 5) staff are not greatly friendly except for the gentleman who works behind reception.

People were friendly and helpful.

The room was too close to the street and there was noise all night long.

The Mercure Hotel is conveniently located right near wonderful shops and restaurants in Garmisch Partenkirchen. We found it to be a very comfortable and clean hotel with a friendly staff who were very helpful when the first rooms they gave us did not coincide with the ones I had originally booked. They have a very nice dining room and although the breakfast is not included (an additional 20e) my two sons and husband did enjoy it.

Great position, very close to Partenkirchen main road and the best restaurants and breweries.

Linen, blankets, bath tube were dirty. The swimming pool is small and not heated.

Good facilities, including pool and sauna. Large enough rooms, very clean and well-maintained.

Internet services they provide are terrible. Connection is very slow, logging takes quite a long time, price is unreasonable. Why attempting making money on such a small and secondary service??

From description I was led to believe hotel was in middle of Garmisch when it is at end of Patenkirchen. Very misleading.

All staff very welcoming and helpful

The location of the hotel is very nice and quiet place. It has a large parking area. It is near the old City Town, near the stores, churches and restaurants.

No aircons available. It is very hot during summer.

Breakfast.. fantastic

No air con and it was very warm during our visit. Hair dryer in bathroom overheats after a few minutes. This has happened during our last stay and also in friends room.. think all dryers are the same

I have been staying here since 1993 when it was the Queen's Residence Hotel. Location is perfect, staff is fantastic.

The rooms are getting dated, no free Wi-Fi/Internet is unacceptable today and breakfast was not included in the Booking.com rate.

die zwei Aufzüge sind ähnlich langsam wie vor Jahren - könnten erneurt werden; für Reisende mit Gepäck nur der eine zur Nutzung geeignet!

Schlechtes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Wir haben im Voraus ein Doppelzimmer bezahlt und uns wurde ein zwei Bett Zimmer gegeben. Wir haben dafür keinen Nachlass bekommen. Zudem entsprechen die Zimmer nicht den Standards eines 4 Sterne Hotels, sondern höchstens eines 3 Sterne Hotels. Grundsätzlich ist die Ausstattung ziemlich veraltet. Die Lage ist ok, aber leider nicht sehr nah an den Pisten...

Der Pool ist recht groß, so dass sich viele Kinder mit Wasserspielzeug darin aufhalten. Gleichzeitig soll man aber nach der Sauna an den Pool-Liegen entspannen, da es keinen anderen Entspannungsraum gibt. Da entsteht eine Interessenskollision.

Отель хорошо расположен - рядом старый город, супермаркет, до центра 20 минут пешком. Бесплатная парковка. Завтрак однообразный, но, в целом, не плохо. Ресторан внизу достоин посещения.СПА можно посещать бесплатно, совсем мало людей. Своевременная уборка номера.

Отель не уютный и безликий. Номера не большие. Не смогли подключить платный WiFi (говорят слишком большая загрузка), что странно.
