pro-active staff is absolute top .Reception - spa - restaurant are high quality - design is modern and with an eye for detail the gym is poor - a small room with only a few dated cardio and one piece of power equipment is not enough. This is surprising as the gym is intensively frequented from 6 AM till 22 PM and your favorite machine is occupied - queing is the result. |

It was my birthday the day I arrived - when I told the receptios so, they congratulated me and immediately sent a bottle of wine and some fancy snacks to my room. It was a nice feeling. The bed was very conformtable and I liked the tiny spa center. The last night of my stay the curtain in the room fell down a little and couldn't be shut. No English channel at all besides BBC. But besides all these minor issues, most important is I didn't feel very 'homey'. It clearly gives one the feeling it's a business + luxury hotel. |

The staff were excellent. The hotel is well appointed and has a good feel about it. I paid 300 euro a night for a suite. This did not include breakfast(28 euro per person) or Internet in the room(21 euro a day) If the hotel need that revenue then please add it to the initial cost rather than extra charges that always leave a feeling of being ripped off! |

The best adjectives to use when speaking of the room are large and lovely. The bathroom fitted this description, though the room itself wasn't so big the shower was double sized with 3 shower heads, and the bath was claw footed and big enough to make me feel like a little kid again when I was in it! The main room that we had was big enough to not have to squeeze past anything and the furnishings were lovely. The flat screen tv was great and the addition of a sofa at the end of the bed meant that we didn't need to be in bed to watch it. We enjoyed the use of the pool and sauna and I thought the breakfast was fantastic. The St George area that the hotel is in is colourful and interesting with many restaurants and the city nearby. Only very small things to mention. There was no clock visible in the room. There was a clock on the telephone, but it wasn't illuminated and couldn't be seen from a distance. We had a room with a lake view, but there wasn't much to see because of the trees (4th floor). We saw the view from the 8th and 9th floors (breakfast room and bar/restaurant respectively) and it was lovely, but I wouldn't bother for a room with a view again, just enjoy it over a drink or breakfast. |

Modern design and proximity (and views) of the lake and city centre. All hotel staff very polite and "free mini bar" concept a good one. |

I had an exellent night at the hotel. The hotel have beautiful sorroundings, good comfort and exellent service. The only minus was a misunderstanding at the hotel. I'm not able to drink cow milk and was promissed rice milk. I was given soya milk which I'm also awoiding to drink. |

Very proffesionnal Staff, well organised and efficient at all levels. Good facilities, superbe restaurant on top with friendly Staff and good cuisine standards. German efficiency at its best! Noise from the road as soon as one opens the window/balcony......although the harbour view makes up for it! |

Very nice hotel, good for Hamburg visit as opposite beautiful lake, great for a nice walk and only 5ish minutes walk to the centre of the city so best of both worlds. Never found the bar as no hotel guide in room - could have asked someone I suppose. Only bar we saw we on ground floor and full of smokers - yuk! Breakfast expensive but very nice. No obvious stairs so lots of waiting for lifts. |

The view over the lake Alster from the bar. No character, Stuttgart branch is better. No individual breakfast combinations available. Special rate customers appear to get the cheap toilet paper while the soft is being kept as spare. |
