Bar lounge Room style Uniqueness of hotel Location to tram and train Good breakfast spread Ease of check in
There was nothing to dislike
Stylish Good location right next to the wall and the night clubs. Well designed. Fun rooms. Good wifi.
The service at the bar is cold and slow, The staff looked bothered all the time, and was not nice, even to my kids. That's the only thing that needs to be better.
Help from the front desk in checking a reservation using the desk computer. Breakfast
We are a family traveling with three teens and they adored the Band Room with the loft beds. We were happy to find one hotel room that slept five! The room was immaculate and set up well. The location was good being next to public transportation. We hope to come back someday to see more of Berlin.
Parking is a little tricky.
Very funky and friendly hotel in a great location. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Staff were fab Great vibes Amazing food and even better beer Coconut water
breakfast bit expensive at €16 each
Amazing hotel decor; delicious restaurant food; being able to enjoy drinks in the courtyard was very pleasant; fantastic breakfast; very close to public transport; friendly hotel staff; nice atmosphere in bar; an unexpected concert in the hotel one evening.
No minibar; no safe; noisy courtyard in the early hours; breakfast not included in room price; watered down shower gel and shampoo (in some sort of anti-theft device which is not particularly classy); equally patronising were the stating-the-obvious rules displayed in the room e.g. 'respect your room' and 'don't steal things from the room'. I would expect to see this sort of thing in a youth hostel but not a hotel in this price range. Similarly, the numerous warnings emphasising the importance of ensuring you leave your room securely locked at all times were somewhat unsettling. Again, this is the sort of notice I'd expect to see in a hostel. The unintended consequence of this notice was that it drew my attention to the fact that there was no visible security and anyone could seemingly wander into the hotel's corridors without having to first pass reception.
The bar, restaurant and outdoor area were great. Bar staff were very friendly.
The room is more like a pod; shower had mould residue; can't shower without your room-mate seeing you so you better be close; no tissues, phone, clock or safe.
Amazing location the coolest hotel in Berlin ... By a mile
Nothing! It's all great!
Amazing hotel, fantastic design with beautiful attention to detail. Friendly staff and uber cool bar, wholeheartedly recommend!
uniqueness, neighborhood, close location to berghain and public transport. Lobby, bar, courtyard, orla Kiely toiletries, super power hairdryer, staff
No fridge and safe inside the room. Stayed in a loft/double room, the window is huge, unfortunately you cannot close the shutter completely, meaning that there is no way to darken the room completely. Not the best thing if you come back from partying and the only thing you want to do is going to the bed.
Everything about the hotel was excellent from the minute you walk in and get a complimentary drink to the helpful staff, great design and perfect location. A must stay!
That I couldnt stay longer!
Very cool vibe, trendy, young and near a more laid back neighborhood across the bridge. The hotel bar and the restaurant are fantastic....awesome, helpful and friendly staff. Train station very close ( across road) very handy. Room had lots of natural light.
Bordering on pretentious. Our room was nice enough but no thought went into guest convenience... ie towel rack across room from where you actually need it, no shelving, no phone (what happens in an emergency?).
Energy, the hotel stuff, perfect place
Friendly people, nice food, great location!
The overall quality for a high price, comfort of beds, noisy rooms, too easy and simple finish of the rooms.
Fantastic hotel. Great ambience. Amazing location! In the student area where all the main bars and clubs are. Really quirky rooms, had a very special stay
The design of the hotel is beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food is great and we had a really lovely time.
Although the linen and bathroom were very clean there were a lot of slightly grimy surfaces. Could use a deep clean or a lick of paint.
The atmosphere. The staff. The sence of humour. The owners being around and enjoying themselves as much as us. The fabulous live bands and music in the courtyard. The courtyard. The other guests. The restaurant. The merchandise. The room designs/concepts. The sense of humour. Having lots of towels. Not having a phone in the room - had to go downstairs and interact with reception staff if we wanted anything - a great way to meet people. Gifts on arrival. The sense of humour. Hanging out late into the night with the bar staff and interesting guests from all over the world. Being in the coolest place in Berlin. Just like 'Hotel California' - oh oh so hard to leave!
The beds are not as comfortable as they should be for the price of the rooms we were staying in. Maybe not having a phone in the room.
Excellent quality dining ; creative and fresh. Unique well imagined decor cool vibe.
The reception staff, the door staff and the cleaning staff were welcoming.
The manager/ owner is possibly the rudest, most aggressive hotel manager I've ever had the misfortune to come across in my many years of extensive travel. The majority of bar staff are also unpleasant. You are not allowed to take any water/ refreshments etc from outside the hotel to your room, yet there is is no 24 hour room or bar service. Essentially the hotel needs to drastically improve it's customer service, stop being so pretentious and desperate to be cool and actually listen to the customer. Very unwelcoming in general.
We enjoyed a fantastic 4 night stay at the Michelberger. The facilities, including the courtyard with nightly entertainment: DJs, daily mix of street-style food and breakfast was amazing. An excellent introduction and guide to berlin.
a bit pretentious
It was in a reasonable location to the railway.
Rooms were small and hot.
Comfortable, quirky rooms; excellent bar; helpful staff; good breakfast; close to train station and relatively easy to reach from Schonefeld
It's not right in the city centre.
The hotel was in a good location, and it was a pretty cool space.
The staff was unapproachable. The cleaners didn't clean so much as just fold our linens. There were no phones in the rooms. The breakfast was insanely expensive (16 euros per person). The hours of the restaurant were very strange. It was SO loud on the side we stayed on.
