The bed was comfortable.Nice entrance Nice entrance, but on going up the very creaky stairs to the 'reception' it became more and more claustriphobic and depressing. Miserable receptionist and it felt the hotel belonged to the 1950s. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in and smelled of age and fungus. I could not walk round the bed without difficulty. The bathroom was clean but tiny. The television belonged in a museum. The air conditioning just moved the air about and introduced a smell of damp to the room . There were elements you would find in a good hotel like a safe and if the room had been twice the size then it may have been acceptable but it felt like a prison cell. The breakfast room was two tiny rooms and you could not move without rubbing shoulders with another guest. The breakfast looked pretty but difficult to get at. I could eat very little except boiled eggs. The bread was stale and jam unidentifieble.. All in all It was a very depressing end to my holiday.

The staff were lovely and courteous all the time. All staff spoke English, which was excellent. The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel is ideal for the city centre and an area to drink and eat for a good price. Hotel also very near U-Bahn. The sound- proofing worked very well! We had no major problems at all. To be fair the rooms are a little small. We thought the room was a bit pricey - approx. £100 per night. The decor of the hotel was quite traditional and may not suit some. For some reason I did not sleep well at this hotel (5 nights) and I managed to sleep better in other hotels on the holiday. Not sure if this was me!

Good location. The hotel was just a skip and a hop away from a metro station as well as a central tourist location for finer dining, shopping, etc. The beds were comfortable and clean although a bit too close to one another. The man at reception was rude. We asked him a simple question regarding his internet services and he took the opportunity to reply condescendingly. Breakfast was also lacking; we skipped it every morning to get some better options elsewhere. And as a lot of other reviewers have been saying, the rooms were indeed small. There wasn't much room to move around and our bags were constantly in the way since we had no other choice but to leave them on the floor, leaving us with even less room to maneuver in this already tiny room. Lastly, the shower: please, please, please be extra cautious when exiting the shower. It's slightly elevated above the bathroom floor, and getting out of the tiny shower can be extremely dangerous. I nearly slipped my first time, and I had to be extra cautious every time after that. If you stay there you'll see what I mean. Just please be extra careful.

Location is close to centre, 15minutes walking from Marienplatz and U-bahn 5minutes.With 33ºC external temperatures the air-conditioning was a bonus. Breakfast excellent. Bedrooms v.small, and only shower (no bath) but being summer we spent most time outside.

The location is very good: in middle of the University area with many bars and cafes offering international food. So you can get away from the turistic area for e.g. dinner/drinks in the evening but still walk to the center in 10 min. Also a very safe-feeling area, you will also feel comfortable at night. It is really rather a guest house than a hotel. Nothing terribly wrong but definetely overpriced. The rooms are really tiny, as is the breakfast room too (for the spanish speakers: imaginense la casita de pin y pon). I would recommend that if you get a good rate (below 80 EUR incl. breakfast) and you are happy to stay somewhere basic then go for it. Don't pay the 115 EUR we paid. Don't stay here for a romatic weekend or with small children or older travelers.

The location is perfect, few blocks from English Garden and city center and next to museums and university. Plenty of bars and restaurants around. The staff was not really helpful with anything. I had problems with my reservation (change my departure date) and they made everything complicated. Also the wireless access has to be renewed every other day by going to the reception and the staff was again not really friendly.

Very friendly staff and the room was extremely quiet, even though it was situated at the front of the hotel. Excellent isolation. Nice lively neighborhood (University!), lots of places to eat/drink, and only 2 mins walk from U-Bahn station Internet connection was a bit flakey, and there are no light blocking curtains

We were able to be quickly upgraded to a 3-person room (for a very small cost) when we found the double room really pretty small. The location was excellent for our interest: the architecture of the Feldherrenhalle, Koenigs platz and Shwabing, as well the marvellous museums: the three main art galleries and the exhibition at the Hypo bank culture centre. Breakfast room rather small. German hotels often have excellent home-made- type jam - here it was not so successful. But otherwise the range and selection on offer at breakfast was very good.

Very friendly family-run hotel. Although I speak German my Fiancee & our friends found the standard of English excellent. The breakfast was magnificent, location spot on (just outside the centre & reflected in the reasonable price). I will definitely stay there again!!

A traditional family-run hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are renovated with very modern baths. The windows are triple-glazed, so there is no street noise. Breakfast was included. Great location, just a block from the U-Bahn. The wifi is a one-time 24-hour connection, which ran out before I even used it.

The hotel is near to the city centre (20 minutes to walk to Marienplatz, 2 stops with metro). The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. It's a non-smoking hotel and it's not written at the hotel information. If you are a smoker don't choose this hotel.

Location was excellent. Within a short stroll to the English Gardens, 2 mins to the U-Bahn stop, 10 mins walk to the City Center. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from. Extremely safe environment to stroll about and enjoy the night-life. Lots of museums nearby. Overall excellent location and very friendly staff. Definitely would recommend as a place to stay and will be back again. Missed not having some drinks up in the room but as there were so many shops around was not a big issue.

The hotel was located in a nice neighbourhood close to the the lmu (the university). Lots of small shops, restaurants and beerstuben in the surounding streets. Good public transportation nearby. The hotel was very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of bread, meat, cheese, yougerts, jam, juices etc, something for every taste.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious for 3 people. The location of the hotel is close to an underground station which could take you to any touring places and shopping districts. Several famous sightseeing places are within 10 minute walking distance. We had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel.

Great location. Very clean, very good breakfast. The room small but functional. It had a strange floorplan, the sink in the room and the toilet and the shower together en suite. It turned out to be convenient, both could be used at the same time. The garage is across the street, small space. If you have a big car you will have trouble to park, but is possible.
