Hotel Turmwirt ***S  

The location was very good with a few minutes walk to everything in Oberammergau. They laid on a good breakfast and there were several excellent restaurants close by. The town is close to the Linden Hof and a variety of routes for day trips. Parking ins limited but most of the guests seemed to be on small bus tours. The value was good. A separate shower was a plus. There was a separate computer room for guests.An employee brushed the snow off my car which was nice.

The room was just average in terms of furniture and carpeting.

Breakfast

Very noisy hotel, just next door near the church, its bells pealing every 15 min. No soundproofing at all, from neighbors and corridor .We could hear everything. When we asked to change the room, the owner said that it was fully booked, but when we offered to pay more he found the same double room, but at the bottom of corridor, which was cost 25 euro more per night. While I was talking to the owner, as I understood later, he was at the reception, eating, spreading something on his slice of bread, it was humiliating. We liked other personal. The Hotel had made a deposit from my card of total amount at the day of reservation, but policy said no deposit .We would have changed the hotel, but the money had been charged before we came.

I love this hotel. I will be staying there again when family comes in from America.

There was nothing to not like. The staff speak English and they are so nice.

Schönes neu renoviertes Zimmer. Viel Platz. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Kirche gleich nebenan deshalb Kirchenglockengeläute ab morgen 5 Uhr (ab 7 Uhr würde sicher auch reichen).

Ho passato solo una notte,il gestore parla italiano.

Möblierung ist ohne Schäden, aber sehr altmodisch. Ich habe ein Doppelzimmer mit Einzelnutzung gebucht. Es handelte sich jedoch um eine enge Dachkammer, in die ein zweites Bett hineingedrückt wurde. Es scheint so zu sein, dass, wenn man zum gleichen Preis wie ein Einzelzimmer ein Doppelzimmer mit Einzelnutzung anbietet, der Hotelier sein nicht so attraktiven Zimmer dafür vermietet.

Wonderful location and a very friendly family-run hotel.

Das Hotel Turmwirt ist hell und freundlich gestaltet. Im traditionellem Haus wurden die Zimmer renoviert im modernen Bayern-Styl. Die Türen aus Zirbel-Holz haben es uns besonders angetan... Die Betten sind bequem, die Zimmer großzügig geschnitten. Die Sauna Anlage ist traumhaft, frisch renoviert und picco-bello sauber. Die Handtücher sind groß und ausreichend vorhanden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ohne sich anzubiedern... Das macht für uns den Unterschied zwischen einem guten "Standard-Großbetrieb"-Hotel und so ein familiär geführtes kleines, exklusives Haus. Wo sonst merkt sich die Bedienung, was jeder sich zum frühstück am Vortag gewünscht hatte... Für anspruchsvolle Gäste, die die Natürlichkeit Bayerns schätzen, absolut empfehlenswert.
