A good hotel in a good location, clean rooms, good food, good value and polite helpful staff

The welcome was fabuloso here. Although English was not spoken the formidable Frau was welcoming and friendly and we managed to get by linguistically. It is a country cabin/lodge/chalet, but large, with balconies overlooking the mountains and forests. The room was large and the three beds hardly filled it with room enough for the dining table and chairs. Wooden furniture decorated with germanic floral scrolls was quaint. We were here at Christmas and the decorations were... Well, I don't know how quite to describe them, but copious and quirky and sort of fun. Also a truly beautiful location. Credit cards not accepted so have Euro'S. If you have a feel for traditional, local, quirky and aren't vegetarian and need a hotel near the motorway, or if you ski or like walking in mountain forests this is for you! On second thoughts, if you are vege, eat the salad and chips, it's all good fresh cooked fare, and stay here anyway. We loved the location and character of this hotel.

Access good, dog friendly. Clean. Food good.

Bowling alley wasn't available (on a Friday night! ) although this was one one of the main selling points of the hotel. My family were very disappointed.Facilities are a little tired - old, small TVs with few channels. Pay extra for internet.

The staff managed to switch both duvet and pillow from feather to non-allergic items. Both my children are allergic to feather. There was no facility for making tea or coffee in the room. This is appalling for a 3 star hotel.

I was shocked that the local taxes were not included in the rates advertised on the internet. All extras and costs should be clearly shown and highlighted whilst booking. It is too late when the receptionist ask for more money.Further I had orginally booked at €59 per night, something went wrong and then the price jumped to €67 per night. I ended paying €75 per night.

Ontvangst, heel vriendelijk. Dienstverlening (bijv. Douchemat gevraagd voor een zeer oude dame, binnen 20 min. Gebracht). Drankje op terras. Restaurant. Ontbijt.

La tranquillità del luogo e la posizione a soli 5 minuti di macchina dalle meravigliose Diez e Limburg. Ottimo il ristorante e gentilissimo lo staff,ci ritornerò.
