Hotel Mirabell  

10/10 for Hotel Mirabell as it is the first hotel in Europe to provide tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms which we have visited. The room staff did an excellant job in cleaning the rooms ona daily basis they also changed bedding during our stay and changed towels daily. As for breakfast service also 10/10 for the variety of food available and again the staff worked really hard. Just a tip for any future visitors to this hotel on arriving at The Hauptbahnof leave the station near to platform 11 exit cross the road and walk down Goethe Strasse to the junction of Landwehr Strasse a distance of 600 meters

Good location, free parking, breakfast & internet. What's not to like?

Upon our arrival, the hotel staff made us feel welcome. Registration was very fast because the paper work was already prepared. Our room was clean and it looked similar to the photos posted. Wireless signal was good. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! The staff in the breakfast room were friendly and helpful. They always made sure that the serving trays were not empty. As far as the neighborhood, we did not feel threatened. Since the hotel is close to the main train station, a lot of foot traffic is to be expected.

Our room was facing the street so we heard the traffic noise. Closing the window was an option, but the room was already warm. Lowering the outside blinds(Jalousette) cut down the noise. Like the other reviews, the bed was a bit on the soft side, but after a long sightseeing day in Munich, we managed to sleep. Unfortunately, on our last day, the lift was not working. We had to carry our bags down. However, they did offer help for those that needed their bags to be brought down. When the lift was working, the hotel staff posted the weather forecast and public transportation ticket prices (in English/German) inside the lift.

Poor quality and cheap bonnell sprung mattress. Not comfortable at all. The towels were old and some had holes in them.

It's a very nice hotel at a very good price. Breakfast excellent, rooms clean and nice, reasonable size. The staff very friendly and helpful. All in all - a good experience !

The toilet was noisy, and the shower was built in a funny way, so it squirted water all over the bathroom...TV Only has one English speaking channel (cnn)...

Rooms a bit too small. No enough place for personal goods (bagage, clothes)

Staff at front desk was excellent, very warm greeting, super friendly, handeling any requests very quick and professional. Room was immediately ready for me to check in when I arrived. Very spaceious room, a nice desk area to sit, a safe and a flat screen tv. Bathroom very clean. Whole room furnished very modern. Good smell in room on arrival, which is not common! Breakfast very huge selection of fresh stuff. Unfortunately did not had time enough to enjoy it. Keept my luggage for me after check out. Location is absolutey fine. Just 5 min walk to the central station. Several great turkish food stores near, where you can buy delicious stuffed pastries for 90 cent!

The room was clean and quiet and the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent value!

Service was incredible. I even got a room upgrade and it was no problem that I arrived after 1am. Breakfast is amazing

The price was reasonable (Munich is an expensive city). The breakfast, included in the price, was good and varied. With the exception of Maria, at the reception, I found the staff helpful and in some cases even friendly. They book escorted day trips right at the reception, with no extra charge, and provide maps and info about visiting the city. Also, the hotel is very well kept.

The location had pros and cons. It was not far from the main train station and you could reach the historic center on foot. At the same time, though, the area was definitely not the best in Munich. Very few nice shops or good restaurants in that part of the city.

It's good to include public transport ticket in the package.
