Poor staff service for a 5 star hotel. No manager available to communicate grievances to.
We were not advised that the hotel would not be catering for NY eve meals. After a lot of communication back and forth we were eventually offered a meal in the room. Very disappointing considering we had paid to upgrade in one of their most expensive suites. Every room service order was wrong, staff were rude and inexperienced. No apologies offered.
Staff were there only for a few days therefore no one cared about the service provided. When you book a 5 star hotel paying over 500 euros a night, you expect service.
Breakfast is a fiasco, and don't even try to have breakfast in the room. The hotel took our room service order and then delivered what they wanted. Even after spending 30 mins explaining the order and following up to ensure that it would be delivered.
The beds are uncomfortable, room cleanliness can be improved. The hotel is a smoking hotel, so all the rooms smell of cigarette smoke. I believe this should be highlighted when booking a room.
It has definitely ruined the break we were so looking forward to.
When the food did arrive, the quality was very nice, however the standards were not consistent.
