This basic hotel is right on Hamburgs Reeperbahn boulevard with its famous nightlife venues, just a 10-minute walk from the port, Speicherstadt warehouse city, and several musical theaters.

Score from 1314 reviews Good
The hotel is located very far from touristic places in an industrial zone, without residential houses and shops. Not a single kiosk or cafe or food store to buy some food or water. From U-ban or S-ban you need to take a bus to get to the hotel. The last bus is around 10 p.m. so if you plan an evening entertainment in Hamburg, think about a taxi. No buses on weekends. Wi-fi is very bad. Staff is away from reception most of the working time.
Clean, calm. Nice staff
In the industry area, 25 min by walk from closest S,U-bahn. poor facilities (not enough towels for all guests)
It is really comfortable Gentle service and staff Good internet
It is really far away from the S-Bahn Station, we had to walk like 2kms to get there with all the suitcases No supermarket is near, again we had to walk like 2.5kms to get to a aldi
2 bed is 2 singel bed , bathroom is dirty .
Was clean in a room and bed was also good enough. The price is a main reason to choose this motel.
Let's say Eulenkrug is a motel. The great place for truck drivers and is not so good for tourists. Transport connection is very bad. There were no buses to the city center on Sunday. View from the window made me sad
the staff was unfriendly. Shower was broken and too hot. too far away from center town.
It was cheap. There were two beds. Look if it's just you and your mate and you're planning on just saving cash then it's fine. But if you're travelling with your family or girlfriend/boyfriend. I wouldn't recommend it.
The smell of smoke throughout the entire building. As soon as you walk in the stench just hits you across the face. I was hoping to watch the infamous World Cup Semi Final between Germany 7 and Brazil 1 in the bar because it had a big TV. But every single person was smoking and I couldn't breathe. I thought smoking indoors was illegal in Europe. I decided to go upstairs and watch it in my room on the tiny TV instead. it took me about 10 minutes to turn the TV on. It wasn't plugged in (obviously to save electricity) and the batteries were hidden under the TV cabinet. I finally got it to work luckily and caught the next 6 goals. The hotel s in an industrial area and I think it is mainly used by labourers and tradies. This is not a place you rent with your missus or girlfriend. Also the internet barely worked in our room.
In spite of the negative comments on booking.com, it is not far from the city center. The staff was very friendly.
Why is it so funny to smoke in the bathroom? Some of the hotel's guests are not easy to understand...
Good price, Shared bathrooms were clean
Lack of access to food. No fresh looking food in the restaurant.
too far from the city for a short trip
Curtains were dirty, and did not cover windows at night. Industrial location. Shared bathroom & toilet was shabby with no lock on one hower room. Hard boiled egg provided at breakfast was not cooked long enough. TV was ancient. Access to rooms via a labyrinth of corridors and stairs. Couldn't leave quick enough
Friendly stuff. Good wifi connection speed.
Smell of chemical cleaning liquids in the room, toilet and shower. Location is far from S-Bahn (15 min walking) and bus is not available on weekend. Furniture is quite old and you can't feel yourself comfortable.
Female reception staff friendly & helpfull. Cleaning staff was all friendly
Male receptionist rude & unfriendly. Booked a double room for 4 people was given a small room 2.5 meters by 2 meters with 2 single beds.
The room were very small. The non-smoker room smell like a smokers room. The smoke alarm was removed!!!! It was very, very noise with loud music coming from 'heaven-knows-where'. Bed very small and very uncomfortable. Toilet seat broken and bathroom horrible. Whole place is filthy and stinky. Not a nice place to stay won't recommend it to anyone.
room is spacious, 24 hour reception sevice.
far away from the city and S, U bahn. only two buses connect to the stations. got waken up by the people next to us at 1 am in the moring! they speaked really loud and slamed doors till 3! terrible!
In my room I had access to wifi, and it's rather cosy.
Location is terrible, there's nothing around but factories, the nearest S-Bahn station is 15 minutes walking
24 hour reception even though it's a very small hotel
Towels were useless Wifi works only in lobby, not in room
nice staff effecient service
funny smell in rooms
the waiter is very kind
It is located a little far away from city center
not enough heating and in the bathroom there was no heating at all
The hotel is fine is a hotel especially for truckers or people working in that area. People get low rate becouse is far from the city .... and I qualify this people as idiots. If these people don't not know how to use a map is not the fault of the hotel. Rate yourself then and not disqualify the hotel.
The staff spoken good English and were very prompt with the emails and efficient with the paperwork and payments
Wished there is more English signs to bathroom and shower - could do with multilingual signposts?
The beds were comfy, and although it didn't look that great from the outside it was definitely better on the inside.
The staff told us two totally different things on how to get back to the city. It was a little confusing. It was also pretty far away from the inner city, about a half hour by s-bahn and bus. The bus that took us to the hotel did not run very often and walking to the hotel meant walking on a street with no sidewalk that had a lot of semi-trucks. Having the bathroom in the hallway definitely was not that great.
