Way to enter in the room (if you can!)
Well appointed, spacious rooms, Decent breakfast, Adequate space for parking
Rooms are large and clean. Very comfortable beds. Great location for the castles! Even had a few restaurants and bars next door where we met a lot of friendly locals who are now facebook friends!
The late night check-in procedure was a little tricky, but fine once we called the manager, they also responded extremely quick.
- Easy to find - Essentially a small suite - Beds for 4 people in our room (#8) ... Ideal for group travel - Price was good - Easy 10-15 min leisurely walk to the city center
- It was a surprise to not find a reception desk; it's not the end of the world. There is a sign posted to use a specific number from the booking confirmation in a electronic key box on the exterior ground floor. While the notice is bilingual, the key box is NOT. It would be helpful to have more specific English Translation for the key box on the ground floor. Our code did not work, and I called to get a second code...and we got our key easy enough. - WiFi was available, but the signal strength did not reach our room which was the furthest from the transmitter...we walked down to the breakfast room...just 25-30 steps.
We got in late from travelling around and just needed a place to sleep for the night. We got the family room for the group and it was just what we needed. Clean and comfortable.
I like the hotels location, it is not far from center of old town, there is a store shop, 5 min walk from the hotel to the store and a small super market, it is easy for family tour, hotel is clean, the breakfast is simple, but it is ok.
The hotel should tell us what time is not for check in, what time is closed for them work, we came to the hotel at 17:30 on weekdays, but the staff has finished their work already, the hotel gate was closed without any information on booking.com, we are lucky to ask a good man on the 2nd floor window to help us to check in, we have to input the booking code and get the key from a box. Then check in the hotel by ourself.
Very cleaner, a big room ang self-serviice kicken. Near to the centre.
internet not working More information to self check-in
The room was large and airy. It was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast was great and the hostess was there early facilitating an early departure for the castles. She was pleasant and helpful.
The was no wi-fi in the room. we had to go to the breakfast room down the hall for us to us it. The coffee maker was slow but made delicious coffee, however there was a line waiting for it.
Location , ease of booking , rooms were very clean and had excellent facillities
Great location clean and good breakfast
No towels in the room. We called twice and nothing was done. We arrived on a sunday there was no staff after 14:00 couldnt be reached. The beds werent very good also.
cooperative and helpful management
no reception, awkward to get a key for room and gain access. No one at front door.
Quite far away from central station. This motel is operated by a family, so after 12 there will be no one you can ask. Even you call, the host cannot speak English well. No wifi and air-conditioning in the room which is inconvenient. By paying such a price, we won't recommend this to others.
Excellent breakfast, nice size rooms, Clean, free parking
Should have some warning about the need to bring a code for checking in when the reception is not open.
very good money for value close enough to the city
Very helpful staff. Excellent heating in the room allowed us to warm up and dry out after arriving by motorcycle on a cold wet day. Very nice bar and restaurant downstairs.
The resturant next to the hotel
Nobody there at check in
Spacious room. Nice bathroom and comfortable beds.
Check in was difficult as no staff was on the premise at the time. No clear signs or instructions posted about check in and location of hotel on 3rd floor.
No reception desk, had to key in booking code to obtain key which did not work because we booked the same afternoon we arrived. I had to phone from my phone for assistance. My opinion, too hard.
Location was excellent for the ice hockey arena which was our goal for being in Fussen. The morning breakfast was very variable the room was clean, with plenty space. The lassie in charge was friendly and very attentive.
There was nothing that we can say we disliked.
Right beside the ice arena ideal for watching our daughter play in the U18 Women's World Championship. Excellent host and nice spacious room
The staff was very friendly & helpful. 2 people travelling with us made a mistake booking in another town instead of Fussen. The staff went out of their way to accomodate them. The rooms are also spacious and neat.
It was clean, good location.
This was very expensive for what is basically a hostel. The room was very, very basic, there was no lighting in the corridor and there is no reception so we had to phone the hotel number to work out how to get in. It is very noisy and is above a sports facility that people where using until very late. The breakfast was until 11 but we arrived at 9.15 and there was very little left. We asked for more juice but really couldn't be bothered asking for more cheese salad and the other stuff that had run out. The staff women kept checking the food but didn't top anything up. The breakfast room was actually in one of the hotel rooms that had been cleared of beds and the coffee machine was very small and very noisy. When we told the lady the lights in the corridor weren't working she just laughed at us. We paid Euro136 for basically a hostel room, but without the advantage of a shared kitchen that hostels have.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly
Our reservation was messed up, we had reserved 3 rooms for 7 people and on check-in were informed they only had 2 rooms for us with a weird layout to accommodate the 7 people. They apologized and offered a "good discount" for the inconvenience. The discount, when it came to check-out, was a joke - 18Euro's on a 300 Euro reservation. The worse thing about the hotel was that the rooms were really cold. The heaters didn't work very well, plus they were turned off around midnight. We were traveling with a very young baby who still wakes up and needs a diaper change in the middle of the night, and the room was impossibly cold.
