“ I stay in this hotel since 40 years. It is very comfortable, very well situated for visiting the town and Documenta and there is a car park under the hotel with direct access to the hotel. Breakfast and evening meals are very pleasant in the restaurant in the galery. ”

This 4-star Superior hotel offers direct access to a large spa. It is located in the Kurfürsten Galerie, a 5-minute walk from Kassel's train station and university. All rooms at the Mercure Hotel Kassel have tea/coffee facilities and satellite TV. The air conditioning/heating system can be adjusted. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas. The location is excellent in central Kassel. The purpose of my visit was the Documenta, so it is within walking distance of the main venues. It is rather run down, a business hotel, in need of a renovation. Does no meet in my concept with Mercure standards. The traffic that the hotel has certainly proves the benefit of the location, but the place is spiritless.

I stay in this hotel since 40 years. It is very comfortable, very well situated for visiting the town and Documenta and there is a car park under the hotel with direct access to the hotel. Breakfast and evening meals are very pleasant in the restaurant in the galery. I wanted a single room for one person but apparently Booking.com had reserved me a double room with single occupency. I had booked two nights in advance but as I arrived a day earlier than planned I booked one more day at the hotel. The on line booking was at 170 euro a day (breakfast incl.). For the additional day I was charged 175 euro. Not the end of the world but..... you ask for something I didn't like.

Das Hotel ist leider auf einem Auststtungsstil der 90er Jahre stehen geblieben. Null Investionen (außer einem Flachbildfernseher) in die Modernisierung der Zimmer. Alles ist alt und verbraucht. Trotz Komfortzimmer keine kostenlose Nutzung der Minibar oder einer kostenlosen Flasche Wasser wie in vergleichbaren Hotels der Kategorie! Personal unverbindlich freundlich mehr auch nicht!

Nette kamer, goede bedden. Super uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Fijn dat de ramen open kunnen voor frisse lucht s'nachts. Bad/douche is niet meer van deze tijd, wel netjes maar verouderd. Om bij het restaurant te komen moet je door een winkelcentrum heen lopen.

Mitarbeiter, besonders in der Bar, sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt Raucherzimmer, die trotzdem gut riechen. Es hieß in der Beschreibung, das Hotel habe ein Restaurant. Es liegt allerdings in der angrenzenden, übel riechenden Einkaufspassage und schließt bereits um 14.00 Uhr. Das ist sehr üngünstig. Das gleiche gilt für den angeblichen 'Wellnessbereich'. Es ist ein öffentliches Fitnesscenter der mittleren Kategorie in der gleichen Einkaufspassage.

Ottimo hotel in posizione centrale, le camere sono molto spaziose e pulite. Colazione abbondante e con varietà di scelta, ma se non ne approfitti il costo è un po' elevato (16 €).

perfekte Lage für den Besuch der documenta d13 Frühstück nicht im Hotel selber, sondern in der angrenzenden Mall. Bar abends zeitweise nicht besetzt, und dann nicht kompetent

La situation très central de l'hôtel. Personnel à la réception très aimable et efficace à l'exception d'une jeune femme brune assez désagréable. Obligé de sortir de l'hôtel pour la salle du petit déjeuner. Produits salle de bains non réapprovisionnés. Boite de kleenex vide... Grande difficulté pour se connecter en wifi. Odeur persistante de tabac froid dans le couloir menant aux chambres.
