Size of rooms. Cleanliness. Bed and bathroom are excellent. Breakfast buffet. Staff. Location. Decor. Everything!!
Glass shattered spontaneously in shower due to ?heat. Staff were very understanding & upgraded us to a suite.
Stayed for 4 nights but kept having to renew Internet password every day. Should have been given one for 4 days on check-in.
Location, mix of design approach, breakfast
With the exception of one of the staff, the others weren't that welcoming
Lovely atmosphere with more traditional architecture and furnishings. Interesting artwork and sculpture. Staff are fantastic and actually have personality which is so rare in hotels these days! I was travelling alone with my young son and I felt very welcome and the staff were very helpful indeed. Great location for all the major sights and very well connected for trams and the U2 U-bahn and you can purchase standard tickets at the reception desk. You can walk to Alexanderplatz easily. The breakfast was amazing and served until 11 am which is a traveller's dream! Will definitely recommend it to my friends and colleagues.
Had a problem with the wifi but the staff said they were aware of the problem and doing their best to address it.
Very charming hotel, for those who don't like the anonymous big hotel chains. Situated in quite residential area, it has a perfect atmosphere, wonderful food for breakfast, attentive and efficient staff. U2 Subway at 5 minutes, restaurants in the area. A must for real travellers (not necessarily tourists) who want to savour Berlin from the first minute.
Location. Great breakfast. Very clean. Very helpful staff. Quiet environment with 2 very nice restaurents within 5 mins walk
Beautiful redecorated rooms and lobby, excellent shower and floor heating in the bathroom, nice staff, good breakfast, free wi-fi, 2 minutes walk from the tram stop on Prenzlauer Allée, 10 minutes walk to Alexander Platz. Lovely hotel in the lovely area of Prenzlauer Berg! Would stay here again!
It was a bit warm in the room, even though we turned down the heat as much as we could. A bit dark because of the location in the building, but on the other hand it was very quiet. A bit of a "stuffy" smell, but perhaps that will go away when the whole hotel has been redecorated.
Location was good within easy walking distance of the city.
Quiet hotel, no traffic noise.
Very helpful staff
my room was too dark. Not enough light even with all the lamps on
The breakfast is very good and with many different option and it is all fresh. It's possible to arrive at any hour, also late in the night. The surrounding are very interesting, and with many restaurants, also if the place is not normally included in tourist tours.
Great location, short walk to U-bahn senefelder, or tram, 1,4 km from Alexanderplatz with the radiotower. Walking distance to Prenzlauer berg, kastanien allee, nice indie shops, Kulturbrauerei, Il due forni... This (fairly small) hotel has lot's of personality with a lovely entrance and a back garden with sculptures which is probably great in summer. Quiet street!
The reception looks a bit odd, hidden in what looks like a storage room, but friendly and helpful receptionists and open 24h.
We were a group aged 72, 50 and 16, and we all loved our time in Berlin. The hotel was as I had expected from the website - the location is great, with the U bahn at one end of the street, and the tram at the other. Prenzlauer Berg is a lovely part of the city. Great breakfasts, very quiet, helpful staff.
Pleasant hotel. Excellent breakfast selection with extended hours. Quiet location in a residential area. Nice small restaurants and boutiques in the area.
Twin beds with old mattresses
Location was in a nice neighbourhood close to cute boutiques, bars, restaurants and underground
The Wifi connection was terrible and didn't work in the hotel room. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy like semolina.
Good sized room, good amenities, professional and helpful staff. Location only a few blocks from subway to heart of the Berlin sights. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Several excellent restaurants just down the street from the hotel. Room was very quiet. Hotel is set back from the street about 100' so most rooms just view exterior of adjacent buildings.
Typical of most hotels but no listing of the TV channels. Have to search for a while to find one in English. Wi-Fi was a little slow or dropped out temporarily at times. No iron available.
Overall presentation was neat and pleasant. Location close to trams and availability of tickets an info at front desk was good. Breakfast set up was pleasant as were the staff managing the breakfast crowd.
Wi Fi reception was poor and intermittent over entire 3 days. Two of three reception staff were cold and impolite to the point of contempt (not only for us but for most other tourists who did not speak German) - easily two of the worst I have met in any of the seven countries visited this trip. This spoiled an otherwise mostly pleasant stay in delightful Berlin.
Good location on a quiet street about 20 mins walk from Alexanderplatz. Staff were polite. The breakfast was the best part - everything that you could imagine on offer, and it varied daily.
We booked a double room but got two twin beds pushed together. Though the bathroom was modern and well considered, the room was far from nice. I selected the hotel for it's character (from the photos), but this unfortunately translated to bad taste in the room, though the rest of the hotel was nice and had character.
The hotel was in a great neighborhood and is located on a quiet street. My room was nice, large sized, clean and quiet. It's a nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood area but close to public transporation and tons of resturants.
An easy ride to the middle of all the tourist sites but away from all the tourist noise, etc. Many restaurants within easy walking distance
In a city known for its boisterousness, this hotel, which is conveniently located to the east of the city center, finds itself on relatively secluded street. There is little of no noise. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very modern. A plentiful breakfast is provided.
The staff at the reception desk did not seem to be overly friendly or helpful. We asked for a 6 o'clock wake-up call but receive none.
The hotel is well located, with a good breakfast and friendly staff. I prefer this place to "chain" hotels.
The air conditioning in my room didn't work properly, meaning sleep was sometimes interrupted (this wouldn't be a problem in winter though). The standard rooms are very small - try and upgrade to a superior one if you can.
Free WiFi Location Friendly
Myer's Hotel was a quiet retreat from the busy streets of Berlin. As others have mentioned, it looks like an apartment building from outside. The interior reveals a leafy courtyard with outdoor seating, bicycle rentals, and cozy lounge spaces. The staff was great, especially Knut, and breakfast was a good typical German buffet. Our room looked onto the interior courtyard, so no view, but it felt roomy and open. Nice bathroom, shower-only. We wanted to eat curry wurst, the Berliner specialty, and Knut put us on to ziervogels straight down the street. Overall, staying here is a good way to feel like you really live in Prenzlauerberg even if only for a few days.
Mattress was foam pad-like. A bit hard. Otherwise we liked it!
