NH Parkhotel Deggendorf  

We were travelling with two little babies and had some request upfront for our room for a one night stip-over. Only positive surprises on arrival: friendly staff, our requests were answered very well, good arrangement of the room (very clean), room service (dinner and breakfast), parking in garage (handy with rainy weather unpacking your bagage), etc. etc. Good total package deal for a reasonable price. We certainly would recommend this hotel.

15Euro per morning extra for breakfast + 8euro per night for parking made the stay not that good value

The main appeal for me was a decent sized room after the tiny, corridor- like single room I endured for one night at Deggendorf's Hoettl Hotel. It had the added attraction of being away from the incessant bells of the nearby town/church clock every quarter hour - oh, and the fact my window was directly above Smokers' Corner in the beer garden. By contrast, The nh Deggendorf Park Hotel provided me with a large double room, an equally generous bathroom - with bath as well as shower (always a bonus for travel-weary limbs!). I also had a top storey room facing the Donau, which meant away from the bells and also well away from any vagrant cigarette smoke. At 60 Euros a night, it was still excellent value compared with Hoettl's 51 Euros for a monastic cell!

The main window leaked and I had to mop up accumulated rainwater on the window-sill. At 15 Euros, the breakfast is perhaps a trifle overpriced. Swisscom's wlan service is also outrageously overpriced at 17.50 Euros for 24 hrs. I was quoted 10.50 at Reception, but that price only applies if you pay the 71 Euros odd for a week. However, the access and speed were good. Oh, and, while the Reception staff were fluent in French and English, the kitchen staff apparently only understand Bavarian: if you speak Hoch Deutsch as I do, you'd be advised to learn how to roll your Rs convincingly if you don't want your softer Drei to be confused with Zwei - as mine was. I was readily understood when I said DRRRRRRRRRRRei! Bayerische is the only way!!

contrary to the website information there was no jacuzzi, and free wifi was limited, not in the room but at the lobby

Die Informationen des Personals waren sehr informativ. Allerdings, der Punkt, was die Fahrstühle anbelangt war grotesk ! Ein Aufzug funktionierte überhaupt nicht, den zweiten konnte man nach zwei Tagen aus der 3. Etage nicht mehr befahren. Man war gezwungen stets aus der dritten Etage zu laufen. Ich habe aus den zwei Hotels in Deggendorf dieses Hotel ausgesucht. Weil ich der Hinsicht war, es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Zeit wird vornehmlich gut genutzt. Jetzt bin ich überfragt, was ich davon halten soll ! S. Kokott

Da bereits das 13. x bemerke ich Verschlechterung Frühstücksbüffet-weniger Angebot, schlechter, manches nicht nachgefüllt Mitarbeiter gereizter diesmal Lärmpegel wegen Gäste in der Nacht hoch

Die Lage sehr günstig, 5 Minuten Fußmarsch zur Innenstadt. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Personal ist sehr bemüht.

Am Sonntag war es auch in der Hotelbar nicht möglich Bundesliga zu schauen. Das passende Paket ist nicht abonniert.

Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Hotel hat eine Sauna. Auf dem Zimmer kann man sich kostenlos Kaffee und Tee zubereiten. Obwohl ich ein Zimmer zur Hauptstraße hatte, war von den Autos nichts zu hören, Sehr gute Schallisolierung.

Mir fehlte eine Minibar.

Ruhige Zimmer, gute Matratzen
