Hotel am Sophienhof  

Very nice staff, recently renovated room. Stayed in the room with a shared bath/shower. Was a very low price and met the needs of my trip. Fair breakfast, no rush yo leave.

While the shared bath and shower rooms were nice, the shower and bathroom could use a little updating and cleaning up.

Wireless internet doesnt reach the top floor rooms, had to go down to the lobby every time I wanted to check internet. Other than that, everything was perfect. Noha

There was one really not nice experience - the reception closes at 22:00 and after that there is no one who give keys for a room and no mobile phone is answering. It was just a luck in other hotel what we find by gps that the owner was the same and we get our room in hotel what we booked. So, be careful - if you have late arrival, don't book this place!!!

I stayed here for 8 nights while helping my adult daughter, who also stayed at the hotel for several nights, move into her apartment located about 15 min. Walk away. Our room was large--especially for European standards-- comfortable and clean. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. The office staff was most helpful and accommodating. The location is very good, being a short walk from the central train and bus stations, as well as a large enclosed shopping center, two out-door shopping areas, and the quay area. I would definitely stay here again.

The internet service is very spotty; definitely in our room, but also in the "public areas". Although it would not have been an issue for me as a solo traveler, my daughter needed a reliable connection in order to conduct business. Hence, she gives the hotel a lower grade.

Nice location, the room is big and clean.

kein Fön auf dem Zimmer, lt. Beschreibung öffentlicher Parkplatz für 5,00 Euro/Tag, habe aber von 18.00 bis 8.00 Uhr 20,00 Euro gezahlt, kein Hinweis auf Parkmöglichkeit

Diesmal einzig und allein die zentrale Lage

Der Zustand des Zimmers und des Umfeldes war mehr als mangelhaft. Die meißten Fenster waren alt und durchgefault. Die neuen Fenster waren lieblos und schluderhaft eingesetzt. (keine der Schutzfolien war beseitigt und hingen zerfetzt am Rahmen.) Die alten Fenster waren vermutlich vor Jahren letztmalig gereinigt worden(ekelerregend) . Im Flur waren stromführende Verteilerdosen offen, im Zimmer ebenfalls die Verteilerdose für die Antennenanlage (hier hätte es eine Schraube getan) . Unterm Strich scheint sich keiner für den Zustand der Zimmer zu interessieren, sonst wäre das längst jemanden aufgefallen.

Aufforderung, das Zimmer zu bezahlen bevor wir es überhaupt in Augenschein genommen hatten.

Die Sanitäranlagen könnten sauberer sein und mal renoviert werden. Besonders die Dusche. Das Zimmer sollte mehr vom Staub befreit sein.

Sehr nett fanden wir die dekorative Gestaltung des Zimmers. Auch mit dem Frühstück waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Eigentlich waren wir zufrieden, mit einer Ausnahme, dem Preis. Ich bin sehr viel in Städten unterwegs und zahle in dieser Kathegorie sonst die Hälfte. Kieler Woche hin oder her, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier einfach nicht. Habe so teuer auch nur gebucht, weil es wegen der Kieler Woche nichts günstigeres mehr gab.

Innerstaedtische Lage und Preis waren ok.Wandbilder in unserem Zimmer und im Haus sind alle sehr ansprechend.Fruehstuecksauswahl war ebenfalls ok. Fuer diesen Preis war es ganz ok

Viele Ecken haben scheinbar lange keinen Lappen mehr gesehen, auch Stellen ueber 1,90 m hoehe nicht, Boden im Zimmer quietschte bei jeder Bewegung
